Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
# L8 Y5 i" J) ]0 z3 H/ ?, D4 IObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
" r: E/ N& F) w1 g  W" k9 C' B8 bEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
6 V$ m' Y. l& S; p) ePrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
' N+ |6 x" m% Q8 N! KOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions
Performs related duties as required

Valid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.
' \( t" L: X4 w/ f2 U& E6 ZHigh School diploma; previous driving experience required
8 C/ w1 ^1 q3 O% K( @) ICurrent certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
, {$ p" X, T& \Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
