Duties f" Y" A( \6 k
Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items' X; g7 B% W- H
Obtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
% j, f1 N0 B. z! G$ cEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound- d, ]; i0 a) q+ O! Y
Prioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
7 a) R5 F( {9 s5 Z ^4 g$ v( COperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions- w2 \2 T' o) r% r
Performs related duties as required& `' o' t7 `2 ~/ x
Qualifications
% n6 ? R/ I! _5 G* m) oValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.# ?8 ^1 O& a0 S1 F& a, b. A
High School diploma; previous driving experience required
; d8 ^$ G$ t! w8 Y. yCurrent certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
) D2 K7 E4 A$ `; P, R8 JTraining related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
