Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
' w4 G8 }: j' u. n. i6 I' d+ IObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
6 ^) I7 M$ ^( C% aEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
$ z$ g+ ~" s. TPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
0 ?4 w3 _* g; z& \5 cOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions
Performs related duties as required
Qualifications
Valid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.
& Z6 I- t4 R3 D7 y3 `8 x+ y" sHigh School diploma; previous driving experience required
