' r! _0 I2 X' k2 QResponsibilities
+ Z7 s8 t& j. E+ K8 r Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
4 Q7 J% R/ x, P+ d- a$ _/ l4 X Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
' D3 o/ U- F3 P$ w: I" L Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
$ `9 v# F& z. ~' M& N Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
8 S0 B$ ]" _: M6 |6 ]$ A Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
. {& c; T& v3 d5 B4 f# J* L9 R Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

1 ^) T( \. B  l4 ]5 L/ tQualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
7 h! R; y7 C/ n- l9 A$ N9 ~ Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
+ O) ?; `4 Q/ K1 z Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
, |0 \) I# s6 J2 }1 x* q6 \8 O& b% @ Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
