4 J1 L+ Q0 h4 Z0 _3 Z; j( } Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
: R' G1 s% N+ x Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
3 r8 w3 G5 U# b" S3 p Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
4 Z1 F; `; j) X: v5 N9 M9 ]  ~7 i Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
: p2 m( x$ v1 R) L/ |, S Social work degree or diploma
, o. r0 X- ]$ m6 o3 `( f( J Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
7 ~) C) }4 w8 B/ J Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
2 g' P( i3 x4 @1 w. S' z9 h Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
- ?3 a' q7 K! {1 I- T1 u Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
