+ ]3 u* x+ d1 [' ? Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
6 T; _; R" |' G; P Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
/ \3 {1 F& L) N/ N3 y Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
* m+ }2 N4 [# B. y# F Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

7 U7 m- P) c' p6 T- ^ Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
, W; K: w' |% y3 z- x Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
0 V5 u! O6 k9 p% F  W Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
9 G% \  k0 v. ^0 ^) g Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
, n4 w9 Y- b8 e" M Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
7 q& l3 q9 Q8 ^4 M0 x1 F Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
