 Proactively and independently develop initiatives in ethno-cultural communities that 3 a6 m8 q2 M8 m# l( ^3 `
increase their capacity to participate fully in the community : X2 a. p- M8 \0 m: y0 g: P) ~
 Develop initiatives that convene stakeholders, community organizations, government agencies and foster collaborations between immigrant and main-stream stakeholders. 7 l9 H( N1 E* f, e% k5 n% i
 Proactively assist immigrant communities with: identifying needs, training, strategic planning, board development, project development, community economic development, funding proposal writing, program planning and implementation' W% h( E% ^- q" @+ b6 u
 Develop Community Economic Development initiatives and provide small business coaching to groups and individuals
( b! L b6 B/ b% @. B3 A Facilitate group processes and workshops & c ^3 l3 |& i1 X
 Advocate for systemic changes that foster full participation of newcomers in the community2 o4 x+ b: }" f

( }, `$ h: h8 W5 ^0 n) f3 k# L% i Strong group facilitation skills ; Q/ b9 u. P i' k9 G- X" p, u
 Experience supervising staff
9 v" z7 P" U6 r6 W& s( J7 s0 m Understanding of cross-cultural issues1 e# v% u" I% J2 W6 {1 f
 Excellent written and oral communication skills, including proposal writing skills , ~! O8 e; ^* m
 Strong organizational and Program delivery skills

Education/technical skills

 Post-secondary education
4 d: s2 ?; p9 M( R4 j+ J1 _- G Experience/facility with Windows-based computer systems (specifically Windows 95/98/2000, MS Office, MS Word, databases, spreadsheets etc.)* ~. q$ ^1 ?6 l% J& o
