Responsibilities: \, ~4 a0 E* d# e' Y
9 h( K, Q( E' y! b2 F; G Proactively and independently develop initiatives in ethno-cultural communities that # T T& M2 j3 d7 c' g( R
increase their capacity to participate fully in the community
+ z; J" ^4 `" [! I4 X Develop initiatives that convene stakeholders, community organizations, government agencies and foster collaborations between immigrant and main-stream stakeholders. % }; b/ o% U' ^+ I% o$ k1 r
 Proactively assist immigrant communities with: identifying needs, training, strategic planning, board development, project development, community economic development, funding proposal writing, program planning and implementation. w* `7 p' z7 H! N
 Develop Community Economic Development initiatives and provide small business coaching to groups and individuals

Background & Qualifications:

 Demonstrated ability to independently develop community initiatives

 Strong group facilitation skills
! u2 ?! `+ V1 T, G( K2 ~/ k% }# M Experience supervising staff
% ]5 {% H0 L2 g8 u9 e- x Understanding of cross-cultural issues
0 ~0 Y. n- |) U% M, s- u Excellent written and oral communication skills, including proposal writing skills 3 E6 P. _9 s9 z( f1 s& B$ f0 P
 Strong organizational and Program delivery skills! X1 J9 Q* K& O( K9 q# ^4 O
+ @4 T+ N! Q* S2 J. ?Education/technical skills

 Post-secondary education
& a4 t6 M7 g4 \, c6 D Experience/facility with Windows-based computer systems (specifically Windows 95/98/2000, MS Office, MS Word, databases, spreadsheets etc.)
