死和干细胞研究而深受广大右翼保守派基督徒和穆斯林选民青睐的美国共和党高层人物
中发生了多起同性恋丑闻，这些人都有一些共同的特点：共和党，基督徒，在多项社会
议题上持右翼保守立场，自身同性恋但是伪装成异性恋和异性结婚，为了政治目的公开

years, Jim West supported several anti-gay bills, including one that would

West was involved in a sex scandal in 2005. He was accused of sexually
abusing two young boys in the 1970s and 1980s when he was a sheriff's deputy
% u  w+ ~% I: Z2 ?9 B. dand Boy Scout leader. He was also accused of misusing his office as mayor
+ L5 b6 o( w/ J0 [. h8 ]7 K5 ito lure teenage boys for sexual relationships. West called the molestation
# g$ \1 E. ~( x- kallegations "flat lies". However he admitted to having private online

; c/ Q- L& d% [- tWest confirmed the accusations of meeting men over the Internet but denied

leader of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) from 2003[1] until

positions after he admitted soliciting prostitute Mike Jones for homosexual

4 k( b. U9 O5 H5 A" wbut as a media investigation proceeded he acknowledged that some allegations
, such as his purchase of methamphetamine, were true. He later added "sexual

counseling, overseen by four ministers. In February 2007, one of those
ministers, Tim Ralph, said that Haggard "is completely heterosexual."[3]

embrace his heterosexual side."[4] As of early 2009, Haggard continues to

On January 23, 2009, officials from Haggard's former church announced that a

relationship [that] went on for a long period of time [with Haggard] ... it
