中发生了多起同性恋丑闻，这些人都有一些共同的特点：共和党，基督徒，在多项社会

While in the legislature he served as Senate Majority Leader. During these

He also proposed a law that would ban all sexual activity among persons
+ C, \- k7 G. o* funder the age of 18 (the bill failed). He would later admit that he
regretted voting for those measures.[1] In 1995, when West was a state
senator, he advocated the impeachment of then-Gov. Mike Lowry for alleged

West was involved in a sex scandal in 2005. He was accused of sexually
abusing two young boys in the 1970s and 1980s when he was a sheriff's deputy
and Boy Scout leader. He was also accused of misusing his office as mayor
9 S- o' m% I( ]to lure teenage boys for sexual relationships. West called the molestation
1 s; \5 D# v5 eallegations "flat lies". However he admitted to having private online
relationships in the past year through the Gay.com website (see ([3]).

West confirmed the accusations of meeting men over the Internet but denied
, H) V& T. q2 N% b; i  O* c/ qthe charges that he had sought out minors (see[4]). Using the name "Right-
5 u$ X$ U- W8 Z5 nBiGuy" he allegedly offered internships to young gay men (some of whom were
just graduating from high school - none of whom, however, under the age of
18.

preacher. Known as Pastor Ted to the congregations he served, he is the

November 2006.

positions after he admitted soliciting prostitute Mike Jones for homosexual
* x* a. o% g0 `9 Y9 {# s* Psex and methamphetamine. Initially Haggard denied even knowing Mike Jones,
but as a media investigation proceeded he acknowledged that some allegations
  b' ~! ~6 `$ d4 M3 B9 R4 K, such as his purchase of methamphetamine, were true. He later added "sexual
immorality" to his list of confessions.[2]

* t. G7 F" D" q* a8 w0 C: e6 x$ eAfter the scandal was publicized, Haggard entered three weeks of intensive
counseling, overseen by four ministers. In February 2007, one of those
ministers, Tim Ralph, said that Haggard "is completely heterosexual."[3]
Ralph later said he meant that therapy "gave Ted the tools to help to
4 j, c2 Q- j' D( @embrace his heterosexual side."[4] As of early 2009, Haggard continues to
/ x0 N8 _1 ]- O' wreceive counseling, and now he says that he is a “heterosexual with issues.

On January 23, 2009, officials from Haggard's former church announced that a
young male church member had come forward in 2006 and that there was an "
9 l5 a0 V0 L, z; j9 l9 \overwhelming pool of evidence [of an] inappropriate, consensual sexual
! N3 U+ _0 c8 Z: m- _5 `relationship [that] went on for a long period of time [with Haggard] ... it
; q9 n& G  ?& Z! E3 m8 }wasn't a one-time act."[76] Haggard's successor, Brady Boyd, said the church
) M5 R* z+ P( w4 H: ^# `/ mreached a six figure settlement with the man, who was in his early 20s at
the time.[78] According to the man, he said the contact was "not consensual"
