West was involved in a sex scandal in 2005. He was accused of sexually
; m  o+ U$ {8 j8 j/ ~. t# U5 Babusing two young boys in the 1970s and 1980s when he was a sheriff's deputy
and Boy Scout leader. He was also accused of misusing his office as mayor
+ |0 R- r8 e+ rto lure teenage boys for sexual relationships. West called the molestation
allegations "flat lies". However he admitted to having private online
relationships in the past year through the Gay.com website (see ([3]).

  b, a# R& z  H3 }1 @* M* {West confirmed the accusations of meeting men over the Internet but denied
: \  _- t: f2 Ithe charges that he had sought out minors (see[4]). Using the name "Right-
BiGuy" he allegedly offered internships to young gay men (some of whom were
just graduating from high school - none of whom, however, under the age of
18.

preacher. Known as Pastor Ted to the congregations he served, he is the
founder and former pastor of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs,
: y/ I0 R# F9 Q! dColorado; a founder of the Association of Life-Giving Churches; and was
leader of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) from 2003[1] until
: [) H$ ^  \4 o3 jNovember 2006.

; R6 k5 ^. I% Wpositions after he admitted soliciting prostitute Mike Jones for homosexual

but as a media investigation proceeded he acknowledged that some allegations
( R4 F8 L2 A5 _% M$ h9 L, such as his purchase of methamphetamine, were true. He later added "sexual

After the scandal was publicized, Haggard entered three weeks of intensive
2 Z" u4 d& m8 U2 hcounseling, overseen by four ministers. In February 2007, one of those
; d' X: f) ~9 L8 D; {8 L- kministers, Tim Ralph, said that Haggard "is completely heterosexual."[3]
/ T- n2 E0 O5 T( K" PRalph later said he meant that therapy "gave Ted the tools to help to
embrace his heterosexual side."[4] As of early 2009, Haggard continues to
receive counseling, and now he says that he is a “heterosexual with issues.

young male church member had come forward in 2006 and that there was an "
overwhelming pool of evidence [of an] inappropriate, consensual sexual

wasn't a one-time act."[76] Haggard's successor, Brady Boyd, said the church
