under the age of 18 (the bill failed). He would later admit that he

senator, he advocated the impeachment of then-Gov. Mike Lowry for alleged

7 k0 h6 i9 ^& k# U+ l/ J1 nabusing two young boys in the 1970s and 1980s when he was a sheriff's deputy
0 P; x. h2 q! r) Q* p; \7 ~6 s' Iand Boy Scout leader. He was also accused of misusing his office as mayor
6 P' K4 \$ |9 q/ l6 uto lure teenage boys for sexual relationships. West called the molestation
allegations "flat lies". However he admitted to having private online
  a% _4 q/ z- F& Wrelationships in the past year through the Gay.com website (see ([3]).

the charges that he had sought out minors (see[4]). Using the name "Right-
BiGuy" he allegedly offered internships to young gay men (some of whom were
just graduating from high school - none of whom, however, under the age of
18.

Ted Arthur Haggard (born June 27, 1956) is a former American evangelical

; R. P. @% M- _founder and former pastor of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs,
; ]& W" ?# L' ]$ TColorado; a founder of the Association of Life-Giving Churches; and was
leader of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) from 2003[1] until

In November 2006, he resigned or was removed from all of his leadership
4 p, p" S: u' j' r* I" wpositions after he admitted soliciting prostitute Mike Jones for homosexual
) [0 M; f6 g3 Y! b' E3 h* L, Lsex and methamphetamine. Initially Haggard denied even knowing Mike Jones,
but as a media investigation proceeded he acknowledged that some allegations
4 C3 u4 H. D4 l5 h6 G* L* a' q, such as his purchase of methamphetamine, were true. He later added "sexual
immorality" to his list of confessions.[2]

/ X. }/ C# ]' j: d$ [After the scandal was publicized, Haggard entered three weeks of intensive
counseling, overseen by four ministers. In February 2007, one of those
8 Y5 ~/ r9 _% C1 _0 X' `ministers, Tim Ralph, said that Haggard "is completely heterosexual."[3]
Ralph later said he meant that therapy "gave Ted the tools to help to
embrace his heterosexual side."[4] As of early 2009, Haggard continues to
receive counseling, and now he says that he is a “heterosexual with issues.

young male church member had come forward in 2006 and that there was an "
overwhelming pool of evidence [of an] inappropriate, consensual sexual
relationship [that] went on for a long period of time [with Haggard] ... it
wasn't a one-time act."[76] Haggard's successor, Brady Boyd, said the church
