" b" C3 _% g8 V3 z8 [+ \/ c1 w4 I7 Kto lure teenage boys for sexual relationships. West called the molestation
7 `$ T1 ]3 P$ d6 gallegations "flat lies". However he admitted to having private online
. ]0 b% N# Z9 `; D1 Zrelationships in the past year through the Gay.com website (see ([3]).

+ a3 X4 E2 |* p" gWest confirmed the accusations of meeting men over the Internet but denied
4 u: J" A, E, T) g# @* }the charges that he had sought out minors (see[4]). Using the name "Right-
9 ~; A* ^; q) v  bBiGuy" he allegedly offered internships to young gay men (some of whom were
# n( Y! }/ R1 ?5 W- @( Ijust graduating from high school - none of whom, however, under the age of
' m& S- f8 l/ `18.

Ted Arthur Haggard (born June 27, 1956) is a former American evangelical
7 h0 |& f9 J3 I2 A" Upreacher. Known as Pastor Ted to the congregations he served, he is the
% e. F& g/ a7 g/ Y! l  x  Gfounder and former pastor of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs,
' f# x( k: b, Q3 }8 e6 E3 u8 _Colorado; a founder of the Association of Life-Giving Churches; and was
, b' @6 D$ m1 Y7 ?$ ~2 \( k$ Vleader of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) from 2003[1] until
November 2006.

In November 2006, he resigned or was removed from all of his leadership
positions after he admitted soliciting prostitute Mike Jones for homosexual
) Z4 b% E9 v1 Ysex and methamphetamine. Initially Haggard denied even knowing Mike Jones,
but as a media investigation proceeded he acknowledged that some allegations
, such as his purchase of methamphetamine, were true. He later added "sexual
immorality" to his list of confessions.[2]

After the scandal was publicized, Haggard entered three weeks of intensive
0 s9 {+ r. o; T2 \counseling, overseen by four ministers. In February 2007, one of those
ministers, Tim Ralph, said that Haggard "is completely heterosexual."[3]
Ralph later said he meant that therapy "gave Ted the tools to help to
embrace his heterosexual side."[4] As of early 2009, Haggard continues to
receive counseling, and now he says that he is a “heterosexual with issues.

On January 23, 2009, officials from Haggard's former church announced that a
young male church member had come forward in 2006 and that there was an "
6 I# v" u: C$ F& ioverwhelming pool of evidence [of an] inappropriate, consensual sexual
relationship [that] went on for a long period of time [with Haggard] ... it
wasn't a one-time act."[76] Haggard's successor, Brady Boyd, said the church
reached a six figure settlement with the man, who was in his early 20s at
the time.[78] According to the man, he said the contact was "not consensual"
and this is not about "opening new wounds" it's about a much larger issue.[
