中发生了多起同性恋丑闻，这些人都有一些共同的特点：共和党，基督徒，在多项社会

; R( l5 i) R4 \years, Jim West supported several anti-gay bills, including one that would
have banned gays and lesbians from working in schools and day care centers.
He also proposed a law that would ban all sexual activity among persons
under the age of 18 (the bill failed). He would later admit that he
regretted voting for those measures.[1] In 1995, when West was a state
- O& z# o8 r/ [- k3 N% Q8 e+ nsenator, he advocated the impeachment of then-Gov. Mike Lowry for alleged

West was involved in a sex scandal in 2005. He was accused of sexually
abusing two young boys in the 1970s and 1980s when he was a sheriff's deputy
and Boy Scout leader. He was also accused of misusing his office as mayor
' V9 F. z" i6 }' @to lure teenage boys for sexual relationships. West called the molestation
allegations "flat lies". However he admitted to having private online
relationships in the past year through the Gay.com website (see ([3]).

( c1 F+ B% Z+ l4 DWest confirmed the accusations of meeting men over the Internet but denied
the charges that he had sought out minors (see[4]). Using the name "Right-
2 a3 V$ R9 ?3 E  V/ U, `: ?" ], NBiGuy" he allegedly offered internships to young gay men (some of whom were
5 o# D8 Y& s/ f& }, U1 X6 j& ?just graduating from high school - none of whom, however, under the age of
* s" Z$ D; i" i) H18.

- H! T! W' [( m3 afounder and former pastor of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs,
9 Y- c; ~; S; g8 _& f  pColorado; a founder of the Association of Life-Giving Churches; and was
/ h. k( L- K; Q/ q( Nleader of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) from 2003[1] until
November 2006.

positions after he admitted soliciting prostitute Mike Jones for homosexual
0 Y# n" ~5 K) ~  @8 e2 \sex and methamphetamine. Initially Haggard denied even knowing Mike Jones,
6 \% _% H/ ~) Q$ o) H& }  obut as a media investigation proceeded he acknowledged that some allegations
, such as his purchase of methamphetamine, were true. He later added "sexual
immorality" to his list of confessions.[2]

After the scandal was publicized, Haggard entered three weeks of intensive

) s- a) M  ?+ t; p5 h, sministers, Tim Ralph, said that Haggard "is completely heterosexual."[3]

embrace his heterosexual side."[4] As of early 2009, Haggard continues to

On January 23, 2009, officials from Haggard's former church announced that a
young male church member had come forward in 2006 and that there was an "
overwhelming pool of evidence [of an] inappropriate, consensual sexual
