中发生了多起同性恋丑闻，这些人都有一些共同的特点：共和党，基督徒，在多项社会

West was involved in a sex scandal in 2005. He was accused of sexually

and Boy Scout leader. He was also accused of misusing his office as mayor
7 N" N' f9 D) V8 z$ Lto lure teenage boys for sexual relationships. West called the molestation
allegations "flat lies". However he admitted to having private online
1 P/ G1 J/ g1 O" w, q& u6 qrelationships in the past year through the Gay.com website (see ([3]).

" ~; l: M+ |( I" b1 l$ T( X* Hthe charges that he had sought out minors (see[4]). Using the name "Right-
( I& n3 ~8 Y) i7 t( gBiGuy" he allegedly offered internships to young gay men (some of whom were
just graduating from high school - none of whom, however, under the age of

November 2006.

* }2 _0 a& l3 uIn November 2006, he resigned or was removed from all of his leadership
positions after he admitted soliciting prostitute Mike Jones for homosexual
& j7 h2 F$ `9 ^9 M/ l' Y2 usex and methamphetamine. Initially Haggard denied even knowing Mike Jones,
but as a media investigation proceeded he acknowledged that some allegations
, such as his purchase of methamphetamine, were true. He later added "sexual
immorality" to his list of confessions.[2]

After the scandal was publicized, Haggard entered three weeks of intensive
counseling, overseen by four ministers. In February 2007, one of those
ministers, Tim Ralph, said that Haggard "is completely heterosexual."[3]
Ralph later said he meant that therapy "gave Ted the tools to help to

receive counseling, and now he says that he is a “heterosexual with issues.

young male church member had come forward in 2006 and that there was an "
