• Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT).

• supports foreign-educated engineer and engineering technologists, and

Applicants to ETIP can apply for funding to attend the program through

immigrants are highly educated and experienced, yet many may find it

recognize their international experience or credentials.

! m; I: v ~2 ?5 l* I6 T8 j+ r }Integrated training offers a blend of occupation-related skills, a work% s! L* u- d0 v
experience and competency-based training, such as applied academics or* _$ S7 Z% {+ O8 H. |+ _$ I
English as a Second Language.

The training components of ETIP assist participants in developing skills

• technical English language skills

• job search and job management skills

graduates.

) T% X7 r# B, hAs of 2003, more than 80% of ETIP graduates over the past six years have
; ^- h6 O1 s }1 ~/ [found engineering or engineering technologist employment in Alberta.
* @+ \5 e5 q; Z3 PIn 2004, 46 engineers graduated from the ETIP program. At the time of, [' i0 H4 X" ~8 w
graduation, almost half had secured employment in the engineering industry,# I6 {) B y9 a% A
with over 90% employed at three months post-graduation.& i0 p( D* U2 f+ m( V, F- J8 y4 x+ f
