We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

8 c& a- P0 d( B7 j9 ]Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

6 V$ b) A6 v4 I5 W- Gathering and documenting requirements;

7 |. F2 m& x+ {/ O- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

$ m& k) m; H- @$ D8 Q- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

# |& m& V- g9 ^# m( E* T( H- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

' F9 Q! C+ `& m1 I% D  L- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
