We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

1 N: L: V. {$ V( s3 {- Gathering and documenting requirements;

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

( z, L0 S5 i$ j5 G- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

# p/ ]5 u- N2 m2 o, J' T- Q- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

' O5 n. S5 t+ t9 d3 t4 N6 l- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

* N( b& v6 `# p  N- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

/ ^. X( A( N3 E& s; D" @1 E$ B( G- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and
