We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

" }% C: n# P7 c; e- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

. b$ r7 b& g8 b+ {! r- B- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

' y. c& t6 ?/ K; U, i# c  K: C- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

1 y. C& |8 \: y+ f1 P4 k  o- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;
# ^- |0 {+ C& f0 h
8 V" G$ d0 _/ P( Y2 P2 k- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

. E% v/ X; A2 d. e  n- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

: o/ k( g/ p+ C% b& I- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

1 t+ S4 c- Q% ]- r. n8 W5 q- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;
