Resource Room Advisor/Resume Writer: ^8 M+ M, f' H. w
 Provide ongoing positive encouragement and support to clients accessing the Resource Centre.8 d; o0 k2 K  F0 P9 U
 Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.

 Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.

Settlement Counsellor
5 F7 G3 y) O2 O: U Engage with and build a professional trusting relationship with newcomers, treating them with dignity and in line with the values of the Bredin Institute.

 Promote Bredin Institute’s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives.
# e  n( F4 Q! g Encourage independence and self determination in newcomers0 ^5 J+ A: m5 O( u8 }, f
 Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.
8 O, j* z5 |- r2 F* G' G5 O9 V, C3 n Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers." l9 ^7 L# h2 G0 O' f- s- n# z. E) M

 Ensure that newcomers know and understand their entitlements.

Assessment Officer
* i$ ^& H8 o% U) s9 O' V Responsible for intake, orientation and completion of workability assessments.
9 ?  E; ?: J" m. c5 J- |& D; A Deliver program overview to potential clients, as well as other interested parties./ e1 V$ r! P7 r
 Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.
- C6 R; d3 Y0 B& f/ } Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.4 U8 P& H5 T$ h" R6 \
 Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.+ q, K/ N- y8 L  L
 Cooperatively with the client, develop an individualized service plan.% z5 U; L3 ?/ w, H, D" _$ }
 Create and update clients files on Mobius computer system
/ o+ Y; R2 V7 ]  z5 R2 T/ B7 L* Q' U1 [5 I, H  L

 Interact with participants on a continuous basis so that the Service Plan progress can be monitored throughout the program and into the follow up period7 @, G6 t' w, |7 q# V4 }
 Ensure participants’ progress is tracked and recorded
! T7 C4 l( b1 D- o5 Q* d Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan
- D: {% w7 ^+ Z) |' `2 v& ?8 G Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment  t  Q( S9 r# Q6 O, o
 Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada! \% h5 J$ Q, M$ L  u
 Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants. x9 C" x% C) B. z+ N: A$ W
 Complete participant reviews with the participants( f9 I4 |$ A* p- r9 `9 F6 P8 [
 Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion8 a4 g: b9 H6 y( d8 y9 [9 a
 Perform other duties as assigned by manager/coordinator6 |9 W1 S# N/ D3 k
