 Provide ongoing positive encouragement and support to clients accessing the Resource Centre." d  P: g6 u; `$ a5 \5 h) d
 Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.; w) i# T7 H+ }1 N- K
 Provide information regarding job search strategies and labour market information.
3 P$ P- z5 {5 J  C' V. ^- ^! o( M- h Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.

 Engage with and build a professional trusting relationship with newcomers, treating them with dignity and in line with the values of the Bredin Institute.3 ?; X# U7 v- g8 M( d* h0 N
 Support newcomers participation in the settlement program.5 S$ d8 a3 ^( B
 Promote Bredin Institute’s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives.' J, \$ z5 t5 c1 l
 Encourage independence and self determination in newcomers/ `, q  d  Q9 K  f7 K
 Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.
4 U) d% S* V6 m/ ?+ H) n Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.

 Attend multi-agency and multidisciplinary meetings, as required* c+ s& I1 B) E$ W! P9 D, ^

# f  g! I. D/ N. @1 \5 z Responsible for intake, orientation and completion of workability assessments.
9 m" L5 _, h2 c9 Y. q% I Deliver program overview to potential clients, as well as other interested parties.- z2 O/ G7 u& c
 Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.# V5 s# I( L* V7 H. F
 Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.( Y4 w8 R1 F2 y8 h% E! E- x
 Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.  d% H- Z$ u3 ]( ?8 |5 e/ q: B
 Cooperatively with the client, develop an individualized service plan.

 Ensure participants’ progress is tracked and recorded
9 P0 K' @* h8 M- e6 v! T Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan8 U8 M. m/ |& S( E
 Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment
: c* J( U3 V7 P/ f Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada. c) Z' c. l0 d
 Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants+ M( C) c* ?7 Z7 n4 \& M) o
 Complete participant reviews with the participants
/ c8 C. }# z' V) l3 T( A* O Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion- {' d' V5 G2 H/ [
 Perform other duties as assigned by manager/coordinator
