1 q9 M9 @+ V4 m( w) TJob Description
- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
4 r$ Z: s% P3 D7 ?- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
9 t1 q6 f+ S9 O' _  r-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
- provide support to ISP staff
+ n8 ?6 M4 y* P; F9 j7 m7 s- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
: z6 h: n1 `* ]0 T- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
4 \1 w* S- R# T1 l+ U% U9 Y0 e- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
8 D5 u* O6 [$ ?+ s" [- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
) _/ A  E& {2 j1 m- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
* X3 q# \" p3 N. a" _" S- other duties as assigned

/ d! A" w5 L! h! S9 L' h& TQualifications
' j' M$ F+ l) d/ @$ x- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
  x# e" l! b! R% f( x- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
! i8 t; r' X9 b- v- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
* h* @! @& p1 k/ o# j* o7 o- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
! E5 @' c! ]* Z1 J) \. V: o2 e- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
- good interpersonal and people skills
( f* I$ \* W4 F- good organizational and coordination skills
- valid driver’s license

Salary
- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
