# A' t3 o9 |1 T* |- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
1 Y0 Z" t6 M8 J) ^. l" G- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
0 |7 c5 H! r+ w5 G-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
( m9 W: ~% m. \7 u4 ^- provide support to ISP staff
! b+ u% J6 ^; G  y- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
% P, q8 u, a3 B- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
+ u1 J7 @+ q# `" v* V' t6 M$ M: r- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
; L7 u$ V' m, E- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
3 {" U9 K1 |& p0 M9 a- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
5 F, W" H& v5 T( ^) j1 n$ P- good interpersonal and people skills
" f+ v$ v- b5 W" g1 G  B1 D  I, L- [- good organizational and coordination skills
5 a& g# F$ t/ G4 E- valid driver’s license

Other
- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary
- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
