Job Description
2 `* _8 a' d/ g6 H/ ~+ ^- t. T( I! S% R8 b- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
* ~( A( r& O2 H( W4 m6 W U$ i- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.) P2 z( Z. B3 S" p4 P4 b/ `
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP7 g0 T+ r, y$ |9 H* G
- provide support to ISP staff. T1 t6 `7 ?& Y W W# i! e1 n" c% P
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
5 {# X0 H+ V3 r, e, F6 S- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities8 B1 M; ~% x5 k8 \% i9 J
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
; h: M4 G7 h* @2 S' D- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants8 h8 n3 u7 @, y8 D% b$ ]$ a
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
& J* A% K; ]/ F3 {( @( s. m- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder

- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities3 U7 @9 t1 \7 A: {

- other duties as assigned

Qualifications
1 m; w% r3 w$ ~/ B9 Z* @' n- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered% @% V) D' o& y7 {
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
- L% Q Z1 N& G" f5 T9 x: Y- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
6 W; Z; [% ^& D( E( V' r- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
3 V( D1 B0 W$ n- t- L" I7 s- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
4 L' Y, r) }; u" e5 I8 ?- good interpersonal and people skills
