Unionized postal workers have given 72 hours notice to the Canada Post Corporation (CPC) and will be in a legal strike position as of Thursday, June 2 at 11:59 p.m.: \% j, c9 G6 v

UPS has a comprehensive global delivery network and is capable of handling some additional volume within Canada and all international shipments either going into or out of Canada.

0 E) }2 e0 k% C+ i% `Our first priority is to serve our existing customers with the high level of service and quality they expect from UPS. Since we cannot absorb all of CPC's intra-Canada volume, we will be limiting existing customers to a 10% increase in their normal daily volume.9 W; g0 c3 U2 U0 G' ^4 k4 B1 p1 B

Additionally, CPC handles a limited amount of deliveries in remote areas of Canada for transportation companies like UPS. Shipments destined to these areas cannot be delivered while CPC's unionized workers are on strike so those packages will be returned to shippers.
