1 w0 h1 b; D) m0 xSEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada.

• conduct socio-economic market and policy research 6 Y! a: v3 o, L+ h
• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners
, ]4 e& v( a7 B& B0 {+ s2 H• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation
% X( m& @1 Z: H2 _' X1 t3 R• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs
2 I( q1 M) p, O* ^$ S• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits - c, {7 @( u( v" H9 g j# @! n; A
• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses

Primary Responsibilities and Activities:
! z2 u- }" o7 ]• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada
) S/ m) W: ^- ^: q9 U• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc) ' H7 q2 } A# E9 d9 ~& S4 q' ]* [
• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required
7 |- U V, v: T$ I5 X• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities
8 L, D0 E. I" a! p, \8 C4 k. ~, Y• Working with evaluation and management information systems team
5 |* O, ~" L# w4 z9 b• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required

' |0 g# W9 {; M1 C• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies
- g' S, t% f& n0 x2 ^• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners
9 X4 r+ z! Y; x: e+ P• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting
9 b$ p5 s6 m/ m. n3 c |• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports ! K: T2 }1 y: Z8 `3 L0 j3 A
• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning

, O$ ?0 d9 `6 J! i• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media
4 D2 d) Q# f, G# [• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training
& L2 d/ d W1 e+ H0 @) a8 E H• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities % x) A! ] ?1 H7 Y+ I
• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams 9 \" O( X l( g& {" b& e% ]: b1 k
• Passion, enthusiasm and deep commitment to the SEDI mission, vision, values and goals ) |5 `7 ~. j0 ~. P5 ^4 [
• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts ! ~; ~7 y# m5 O( |, M8 v
• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them H1 ^" u; m: k
• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc + R7 m9 `( p9 a h0 r
• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education
