any good place to practise English?

Dear friends,

anybody knows a good place to practise speaking English? Any volunteer or part time job?

it's called living a normal life with native english speakers.

get rid of all chinese channels on your tv, change the Operating System on your computer to English, abandon your chinese friends and go make some white friends, practice THINKING in english is more important than forcing yourself to speak it.

每天到裆烫某酒馆，花几刀请当地闲散人员喝小酒聊天。坚持一个月，别说英语了，连风土人情都了解很深，马上融入主流社会。

it is hard to live a normal life with native english speaker. i only learned "Do you need a bag ?" in superstore. what else you can learn while doing daily shopping? probably not much.

还可以顺便把次帮闲散人员纠集起来，用英语对他们进行一番语重心长的教育。让他们离开酒馆后立马自觉的去找工作，自力更生。为加拿大政府及警局消除一大安全隐患，增加财政收入。

Here are some tips:

- Drop bit torrent movies with Chinese subtitles and pay some real hard cash at Blockbuster. Most dvds from there have English subtitles. Start with cartoons and move up to movies, then to TV series. You need to focus on the dialogues, pause the movie if necessary, verbally practice new words and sentences, then try to use them in real life.

- Remove all the 宋祖英 CDs from your car and replace them with someone who sings in English and with slow, clear and accurate pronunciation. A few suggestions would be Taylor Swift, Simple Plan, Backstreet boys (no, they are not gay), music for kids, etc.

- If you need more human interaction, get a headset with a microphone, join an online MMORPG game such as World of Warcraft. You don't even need to play the game, just join a clan and you get to chat with a bunch of students/housewives/unemployed people all day.

but likely it will be this: in the first 3 minutes, quiet ( because i am thinking about the wording) , then finally speak out bravely and loudly at the phone:" I need money!!!'

yes, i know what you mean. basically i am doing what you listed. what I need urgently right now is talking to a PERSON, alive, white (not from Europe), willing to say more things than "how are you doing?" "Hi" "sorry".Maybe i should go to chuch. any body can name a good church?

自信一点好吧，你们的英语都不需要practice了，直接用就可以，还要别人告诉你哪里可以用英语吗。

当然是找一个说英语的男朋友/女朋友交流进步快啦，网上有可以音频聊天交友的聊天室，哪个国家的人都有。MSN或SKYPE上面搜索Canadian chatters.

do you think i would jump on the podium in the church, and shout: "listen up guys,i have something to say! " i may feel isolated from the main society. but i am not crazy.
