1. It's cool.6 ~: ]. a4 n) D8 v7 u
8 y( w7 n* r1 l) ^  R4 X% {* b
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
- B5 ~% b' x$ r* B2 ]6 b    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool. . O* K: X  i+ e, J
    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)
9 M% Q" K" s% |3 f
! T$ |" H  P7 Z主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
; ?) L( F/ b) x, X. \9 |    She (He) was cool in the past.
! D) Y% u$ O$ x9 M    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)
% q) C- a9 P% Z7 x    He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人) ) g0 E; N* X: r4 E2 g5 {  W
( k9 [5 e7 ?: A6 f
但是如果说:Are you cool?
    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not % s/ K/ r1 d; V' U2 B. i
    emotional.
) f$ e/ h! R! J! H/ A# X8 k' ~    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」)

) ]" Z/ x& \9 h2. Are you trippin'?
- C" ~$ k/ {4 B  H, M( ], R; o- D: S. k3 h! ~6 `
这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
    They are trippin'. (= tripping) / w& A# i# W0 U
    She (he) is trippin'. 3 g$ J, k0 g/ j
Mr. A must be trippin'.
5 E5 A# T* v9 G, Y& x2 }, w

! p2 [4 {) P4 j* P5 G3. He is a nerd5 x* w4 u* R! B* J
) z, V% a; ?- c# T4 D1 c
(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
9 ^' F5 w' E& ^( \' H. N    He used to be a nerd in high school
) D/ s$ R) k: v7 w  w% S
+ y5 u' P, n1 m+ l6 H/ q, Y! p4. Yo baby8 l. l! c3 b2 d2 c5 }, a" q

& F8 p; t/ Y!
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说: - [) D% o$ Z2 R9 [
    Yo baby, are you trippin'? . P7 Q6 P3 G; b7 i
- w" R1 x6 t7 h( F: l. |: b1 N3 l5 B/ j3 gMay I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.
+ _0 U+ t; ]# t$ C7 J5 j" c0 ~/ n    Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)
+ r4 d5 e( J7 ^, d* w0 z# |( e/ T; a- B
5. She is a ho
- W( Q$ }* q+ p2 o* s! [' H+ w
7 i2 r; k' e& a/ b4 Hho (a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。
: e+ x! G, i% {. _4 \! h2 B    They are (were) hos. # V5 p; h5 k, G9 z6 V" i
    There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.) 5 z9 g, {- Q! k" [* |5 E
1 B. X4 p( {" T" E+ M! J; u
6. Catch you later!
3 R  z# h+ Y/ f
2 s$ g9 L" v  b# B: O; i; ?( ^这是年轻人说「再会」的口语。(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等) % [5 p4 l) L7 f- v% |" c
有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.
$ B* `) C4 A. U! S6 V& U(我要走了,再谈吧!)
