Position:        Youth Leader
5 u2 [1 G6 [4 c0 g( ]- ]Duration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
5 L3 O/ S* X8 VCamp 1 – July 04 – July 14
Camp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
Time:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)

! B& u1 H, E8 A$ B2 R+ YDuties:
To assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:
9 {' B, u' ]- j- N6 o* U& e
 Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
 Take attendance if available
 Provide positive modelling to youth
; D4 z2 n% w0 \ Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
 Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
 Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
 Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
 Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
 Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator

 Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
! ]7 R% d) U8 Y Assist in program planning/design
1 r- v( L& {: f" ^: _4 u Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

1 K+ I  g; V* d' ~/ _" v& g) KAttitude/Skills Requirements

 Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
 Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
 A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
 Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
5 P; R0 `' a  b" \5 }$ g' s# z  n Able to work independently with minimum supervision
 Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
  i6 S1 L% T8 a* R" [2 j6 f# b Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
 Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
