Payroll:
* N5 m0 ]5 o1 k- f `• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired" V$ n& e5 d ^$ o* d6 V% ~! |
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll0 }) h0 o2 ^4 I/ u: c$ F
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
" x: ^/ I/ @9 W% T$ i% u• Input benefit deductions into payroll

Reporting duties:/ {" f) B) Y0 B
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
2 F5 b! o- W! Z, o2 c& m. S• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website2 K, c% B8 G% H$ x; G) e
• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s9 S' k9 _* R9 s1 ^" E% X
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority

3 {. y9 `, R2 s7 | h• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll 8 l/ i$ o8 p L" U5 Y' d7 O
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.0 Z: j5 S7 V# f" t
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies* ~+ E3 R/ C5 p+ e/ r& t
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting* {) r, a/ s8 L

Accounts Receivable:6 q$ q' \1 ?: R. k+ ?! D/ O
• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit* W" u8 t F- K" {
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department3 c( g4 a n% d& o9 L
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments9 Q# s& e9 Y6 d5 o0 C
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

Qualifications:! M. D0 R9 d, ]0 j

• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP
+ r- ?0 [8 [1 K! c: _# n• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
" g( }' ^( I( @$ o2 [. p$ F1 j• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position" A: p7 o3 @) h
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
