Natural Treasure Program

On September 25, 2011 the John Janzen Nature Centre will launch the Natural Treasure Program, an exciting new initiative from the Robert Bateman Get to Know Program.
! _6 B/ G& u/ e; N2 O+ y
2 x4 m$ B+ Z" @. T& u% CNatural Treasure uses technology to provide youth with a unique outdoor experience. Participants follow a map or GPS device to complete an outdoor scavenger hunt by finding clues hidden around the Nature Centre.
( V9 v) V! c9 U! u+ n: y# v7 U4 j, m" R' W$ @6 M2 f/ Y+ M
Next, participants head online for some fun challenges, games, and stories, all of which relate to their experience outdoors. The program is geared towards helping youth get to know Edmonton’s wildlife.
