( c3 Q! w8 k8 ]5 h- M1 {5 jPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

+ Z% _4 m( x% g' {; d" d$ Y• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person4 \" b+ x( l- r l$ l T
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST9 p- @! G+ O# e: S3 L5 w' H
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately9 _: _6 i7 C: r1 M
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter0 f c) R8 e& j, ]0 t$ c1 D* _0 A
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings+ Z) d- N0 l, @! ^
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
) K, B- T: S4 [/ o8 ^9 s• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Report to ISP Program Manager

* O# X, e O' K; P; i A• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
4 ?& S) q: b9 n) Q• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset Q+ M" N! O8 E3 o
• Good English writing and oral communication skills- u! p' G t7 P; M
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients( S+ }! m# l+ X$ R# W) N9 \
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services; ?( M5 K4 {' ~2 t
Qualifications:, A8 Q8 |( E2 ]* v
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 8 v( W! Q" m1 y" O: V
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment, |* M$ n3 o; I( a9 i6 E
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism3 @6 |* D& E( H8 L1 P6 |" @' B& u
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision6 C! W# ~$ J. u9 B: R j* V
