Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker8 O: B) \: D+ T |: G, c$ j: T/ u$ c; t
Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

Y9 a; r _8 u- a9 j; _4 zPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 9 G. i0 ^9 `/ B

Key Responsibilities:
3 n8 l- v& _3 T3 C2 k7 c• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person$ T8 E8 E& c9 O% g0 u' F% g' l
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
" ^) P0 k* H, a+ a: P% [4 q• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
& t4 E3 f4 s, p; d& F9 @8 T• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter4 W8 a7 T: K7 Y2 C4 b; s- ]" I# m
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings/ n% F4 o! y Y" p3 t; \
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
! s0 j: ~1 s# A) ^9 Y; z) v• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker* g: Y9 R4 r+ d) R
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events7 w2 {$ e# d) F: ~/ q8 R
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

: s! O4 E5 I5 R/ k5 V$ m• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
9 E5 A6 p( n) {) d: j' R0 k& M• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person

• Good English writing and oral communication skills+ `! M4 t! }( p* ]* G( r* S) q' ]
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients3 P: |+ m: g( h3 @8 ?
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
% a( ?- @0 D0 E) Q m0 `: i• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 1 [! A1 l9 I4 v$ X; k# I1 _ s$ Z' H
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
7 `8 c$ J$ o/ M• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism- ^5 _# p' n* G4 a
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision8 Y1 v. U8 L3 ^
