Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. * ~/ V' ]3 ^: ]8 {

Key Responsibilities:
" q% A' @2 W% k+ t1 p• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person0 E9 D5 D' g2 ] G9 Q3 O( X' F1 b
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
0 V/ F) ^; }4 ?• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
% L3 j# y; d- |$ h+ z+ U5 H• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
& _' B% p9 d" e c• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
8 M0 h2 Q n) ]9 b4 F• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
: _3 W$ T3 u, D `• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

/ f& |- w6 J; r( C• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters5 n9 W3 [. p0 _% O% ?9 ^

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:& Y* T, J( E( | h$ e \6 g( b( X
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person8 \& g. O/ ] g9 Z) X
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
! k* E; S7 m7 T' g: [; a, K' Q6 k" R• Good English writing and oral communication skills) T+ X- g7 U% `, v
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
& H" {( N$ [. r• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:
* M# @+ u. [3 q• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 9 {% y9 U n' p& P( j1 E
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
( H d" L0 u. B; ]• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
1 T' {+ |$ C6 h' `+ v3 N) s* x• Ability to work well under minimal supervision. J* N6 k0 W% s {1 c' \
