Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker
: t0 O1 d2 y# O% W$ }8 AHours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 1 Q0 F0 a' U" @! Key Responsibilities:
0 g6 p& o D `6 {' }9 n7 u) ~/ D• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
6 A1 S4 f {; b+ M# r• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST4 a) ]& _1 C9 G y& L: g; t
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
9 \8 ]2 e) A, i. r# M& _• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter L& a5 ?* E4 e8 \
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
; R4 H7 w; I. P• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents. u( b, O$ a& K: f
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker& p) ~4 `0 }2 J' U
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
& d6 F, M6 ?* o$ L9 v% b8 F. e• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events+ b6 V! ]) F# c9 l+ q. P
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
/ d% S7 l! `' g3 e+ d. T0 c• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters4 d; T. j6 ]+ a5 b& H( [0 Z
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
+ ]; v, H+ d$ ~• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person' v2 d+ a, C) q
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset+ q; v# v3 H9 a1 r, u: M
• Good English writing and oral communication skills) F& i% Q/ K3 x* J( f3 E( g
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
4 c/ Z9 |' [2 k" w• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook" Y( D' y d4 x" l% s" t
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
. h* h# }, Z% C: J$ h% o5 N• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment9 Z* ^% x, \) X0 G7 S* X& p
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism% v J$ D" V% R) S; D# m6 P: H
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision; [+ c, v0 k! u8 c; u D$ t
