: J7 h: [" F+ m. b+ oPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
) [+ a+ N, a/ c1 ?8 J• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person# t9 \6 F. i* L3 d/ i6 A0 k% T
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST0 V1 K0 l$ F* c: Y, r6 |4 t: i2 \
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
0 B2 o6 m0 q# N* R' R, q• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
4 o6 G4 ]5 N8 J! z• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings7 D A8 {4 R% Y- n5 ?+ B; ]
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents7 }; s. c# u5 {/ O) ~' U
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker) q5 k0 v5 I0 S" i: ~* Y' ~+ C9 {; i
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
# T% _8 Y7 y! x: Q• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
9 S/ F7 r& G% U• Maintain front counter service files

& W# v. F2 Q; L$ k9 ~! A) o( g" C• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
" ?; b* A& x; ^' b$ R+ d) z• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
* n/ h, y1 m4 l: d! `• Good English writing and oral communication skills( r0 M; F( j/ M5 z8 J9 I
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients1 x# a8 w0 W9 [, K- c2 b$ ]
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Knowledge of immigrant services) W& R* O0 f+ Q3 U7 D" Z; D
Qualifications:
+ C% S$ T& h2 s• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
( V8 t, f/ [/ J7 k' Z; C; z• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
* P4 m6 F4 [* w5 ]8 X+ e• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
3 b# T3 T ~$ C t( f• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
