f! f9 f {( A X. lWorking with other OSS team members to identify, plan, and configure Solaris, HPUX, Linux and Windows servers for integration into the Storage and Backup environment ; n% c$ u3 c2 q# x9 ]" O5 }

Manage applications that support the Storage and Backup infrastructure, including CommVault, Legato NetWorker, DPM, Quest, and other custom applications

Implement and support vendor and industry best practices and procedures for the storage and backup environments ! G2 U/ V- m) `. Y& M: e: b
1 p3 e1 V/ B& EProvide recommendations and design strategies to improve the operation of the environment based on analysis, trending and forecasting

0 Q' ~" d# Y; q' v9 G# UDesign and implement processes and procedures to improve the operation of the environment. 3 U- e; F3 v; z

Write and maintain Perl / shell scripts for day to day administration and automation

" O) S2 D' S5 G2 O# v/ F" Z wLiaising with IT customers to determine their requirements and ensure that business needs are effectively translated into solutions 7 H. X6 u6 T" Y3 m

( B% r/ s# o4 o: E) ] x2 v A degree or diploma in Computing Science or Computer Engineering or a related Information Technology discipline
' D8 Z1 j! i7 X" w, |0 d2 P4 r; r7 R5 t6 C
Excellent working knowledge of SAN topologies and technologies with a primary emphasis on NetApp data OnTap, HP EVA storage arrays and Brocade switches.Previous experience managing a SAN with the above technologies is mandatory 3 m' X; j8 H0 O3 m% N
0 f! L( S0 K/ w* o vExcellent working knowledge of CommVault Simpana 8 or higher, Legato NetWorker backup software

Excellent working knowledge of storage virtualization technologies and concepts
( L5 }9 ]5 P% r$ v6 l; A9 a7 I* \; I. i+ T3 f
Previous experience with administration of Solaris, HPUX, Linux, and/or Windows would be an asset ( `+ {7 E' x6 P: x

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience communicating effectively with various levels of management ; `- f0 ?( X1 S1 d; Q( L! c" M, Z

A high level understanding of IT technical infrastructure requirements for large enterprise deployments

Thorough understanding of Information Technology business practices and processes, including ITIL

Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Visio, is an asset
