/ z& Z  |$ k8 h2 C, vElectricians perform electrical inspection, maintenance, and repair activities on locomotives in the repair shop, on service tracks, or other railroad property. They have a good grasp of basic electronics, computer systems, fuel injector systems, and locomotive failures.

They are also generally responsible for tasks such as:
Repairing
or replacing small components

Following company safety procedures to maintain an overall level of safety awareness when operating in the work environment

Understanding and/or providing written, graphic, and oral instructions

At least one year of post-secondary education in a related program of study.

Ability to do physical work, sometimes outdoors in extreme weather conditions

Regular exposure to dust, pollen, fumes, noise and vibrations
