Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
$ y4 M4 J$ Q. AMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
8 w$ x! o7 N/ D( G; o•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
+ o; `7 p6 s, Y# N) g/ S9 }9 Q2 ~o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
0 m7 Y+ e* K1 No        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
* m! y/ X' }: g7 H8 ]o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
  h5 r5 V  Q  k) L7 ?8 io        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
/ {0 O& M; S; so        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
0 i/ |! k: n) a5 L/ zo        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
* v. h" Y, H' S6 ^# }% uo        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
% V5 @( m  _. e& Ao        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

7 a8 G8 c5 a2 u•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
