Scope and Purpose of Job

A" T% f, V7 f8 ?1 iEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
. {; q1 b' J( Y( sMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
) s  l( V- u/ v2 B, d8 k•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
! L& `( O/ V6 @2 r- X+ z•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
  O/ ]; W: ^4 }! ?* r0 F•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
" V" {* b; _$ J. mo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
' G+ ~# n9 l( |' `o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
/ f5 P% u7 b: w8 D- Do        Assist in writing and new product specification
! g3 U- d0 W# d* Ao        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
8 G6 N( \6 J6 n8 a8 p•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
4 ^: N3 I- F+ A4 |6 Z( |( yo        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

- X2 c& J% t0 r, D$ S5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
# x/ m( M% M# ?, m- {0 |•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
