Scope and Purpose of Job# ?3 l9 i$ W0 x1 w' d" J
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
0 X) W& A8 J6 {) OMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities& U7 F* O% m' y9 j
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
1 m) \$ d1 R8 y" I9 H7 m/ |; I9 V•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.5 p  Y0 P+ Q2 s* ~& E. |
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems! j, u9 N) }1 k
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
* c" y9 t6 E2 r3 ?% Z0 n5 }  C3 A3 O•        Assist where needed in application questions.; K8 F* o" S4 i3 o, z
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution./ I2 K- l) _" [7 B
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures1 e. j3 I! h8 O0 G
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed, I: Z9 e  K9 b) O: _
•        Track and report all warranty failures
2 Z1 K1 s  X/ z& ?' J$ l* Xo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.6 Y' }4 [" F: O% {8 R/ r3 n
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
7 L# [! n- e) G4 o& M' ^8 _•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.: z/ p( ]" v2 b0 G1 }6 w
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports. r: p$ _# u, d2 w4 D% r( k+ ?5 ~
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.3 w6 j* f4 |3 U
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
1 R) N- B& }/ ho        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.) q: V0 N/ ?2 w
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
+ R5 l- m8 \4 d•        Assist in Sales support & training.
% n- K8 {3 ^( ], i4 P# N' d( Z•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.& i! T5 ]5 c( p
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues./ y6 C4 ]  b/ a9 ?  a

: S2 g* \! F* ?5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers* P2 r1 h7 _* c( U9 ]
List of Skills/Qualifications        1 f) b0 o7 s0 H  F: v4 R' S0 s
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
: d: L; X) c% j- }7 b8 C•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
% c  f. G+ |6 b  W' H•        Proficient in software use and writing.
' B! s6 E9 U( p; h•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports./ ^1 G. X6 O1 W0 z  J) g/ A
•        Ability to travel worldwide.  d+ U4 f0 Z  m
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
