Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
! J! }% W$ p. l1 G; e, Q% GMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
' e* m* o5 w) Y* ^) [4 v" k•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
5 S' ^9 ^/ F& E, d* _•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
+ @' ^: J& O5 F" S1 n. @8 I' Io        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
+ H. c' s# o: n" y& N/ J•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
5 G8 R; P( }. O! J; P4 R2 M% E•        Track and report all warranty failures
# W( n8 f4 F7 ?. ?o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports

o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.

•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

- i) V. p7 T. |% v5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
& u5 @+ v( H0 F1 }* R1 IList of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
: ^# S+ b; W% x2 l4 [1 F•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
: ~: a2 W. y  n! @•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
