Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011$ v: G* [  b  L1 j  e3 D+ f0 `

Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.1 \  `1 H6 |  l' ?$ ^3 c/ V# G! F" u
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
% }. F( A. S8 D! R4 R•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
1 a7 g# O$ W4 j* q1 u•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations., N/ [3 r- Y0 Y5 P# f
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
+ r; g0 t8 Q  w( vo        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release" |# O( H, @8 V
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
% y( p* O* N" h) b•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.8 w; ?: M- B$ V
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures0 O7 |. E  m% x: w. q
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed/ M& g. s" F7 j1 V7 v+ }
•        Track and report all warranty failures! ]8 q* J$ n# o7 N* [! o
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.' r# t) [" |; L. c
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.& h, o9 K% \  ]. D9 Q, a
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
" S' M( G* r) do        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports' `1 \/ S; P% h9 y" O
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.  B5 `! h0 V- K% n: _
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
/ r# c" L3 l; @1 r' U4 W9 ro        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
3 \" M$ g3 q) @o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.2 I( m8 x' F2 ~+ e3 H- w+ `& D
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
$ G/ Z% d8 W) i6 z6 ~•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers* |, A7 S: R$ K2 U$ v, N
List of Skills/Qualifications        ; r! o" \6 n  ?* u% j9 L
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.

•        Proficient in software use and writing.( Q0 P& D4 F/ t; S& m4 u/ [2 Q6 l
