LINC在爱省的免费学习时间长度为1200小时，参加者的要求可以参见联邦的规定：
Eligible clients are limited to:
•        Permanent Residents of Canada who have not become Canadian citizens;
) [' s. y/ {3 v; n4 M•        Protected persons as defined in Section 95 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA);
3 P/ n# M+ V* Y4 C0 @•        Individuals who have been selected, in Canada or overseas, to become permanent residents pending completion of medical, security and criminal verification statutory requirements, and who have been informed, by a letter from Citizenship and Immigration Canada;
/ i, C, Y! k. P6 g! A. K•        Convention refugees and protected persons overseas who have been selected for resettlement in Canada by Citizenship and immigration Canada;
  H& E; ?1 V0 y, g1 m# Z•        Live-in Caregivers
8 x' }! K7 Q' Ho        Applicants overseas who have been informed, by a letter of confirmation from Citizenship and Immigration Canada, of the approval of their temporary work permit are eligible to receive services under the Canadian Orientation Abroad (COA) initiative,
+ s+ k% S7 c% _( Q, Po        Applicants in Canada and in possession of a temporary work permit issued under the Live-in Caregiver Program are eligible for all settlement services with the exception of language training.

  y2 i1 f, W2 l) l! e, k% G并不是低收入家庭的福利，而是为非公民的长期居留者提供的免费英语学习机会。政府是希望大家的英语都能顶呱呱，这样就好找工作，多挣钱多纳税。
