• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
& F2 B, w' a2 F+ [4 C• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components3 O. @6 i+ N( O5 x( i
• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers# g3 W6 Z. X- b- X. d
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
- [) Y4 x3 F# [% h• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place' W( q# @, j3 p, q( x, z8 {
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment* [. r/ A# \, N9 u' N
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
8 p9 @: o# O. ^1 ?2 P6 A• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
" [1 p/ Y0 a. e7 n; p& h• Mix paint, blend and match colors

• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs( A$ x! A+ ]% {* J
• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation

Education and Experience Requirements:
' y" c2 R- t; Q4 Y• Completion of secondary school is required! x- Q; j' Q d- w
• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program # ~* Z+ K8 u8 I

A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade ' Y9 X+ d2 Y$ |! E3 d" I8 i
• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
