been programmed for Passive Mode, the Failsafe® Starter Kill will

If Passive Mode has been programmed on, then it is also possible0 a! W) W# T) K4 _+ R
to program the system for Passive Locking. With Passive Locking,
$ m( e; X2 A H4 @* T$ t4 cthe vehicle doors lock automatically at the same time that the Failsafe®
1 R4 o7 z- @$ U9 j4 C$ UStarter Kill is activated. If Passive Locking is programmed on, care8 p/ a$ |- K4 y# l
must be taken to prevent the keys from being locked in the vehicle.

If your remote transmitter is lost or damaged, you can manually
1 h* h% U. A& L% f F" G: Poverride the starter kill. To do this, you must have the vehicle's3 p" G8 c0 [: D
ignition key and know where the Valet button is located. Be sure( a# u. a/ T& t+ b1 e
to check with the installer for the location of the Valet button.
" j8 K R2 s6 P1 WTo override the starter kill, turn5 n6 t9 ?, W! g4 ~( K, S" S7 E* u
the ignition on and press the! F; o, A; G t; B! q
Valet button within 10 seconds.
! x3 k* R* u' i; w$ c0 CThe status LED will stop flashing

you may have waited too long; turn the ignition off and repeat the

You can prevent your system from automatically activating the

transmitter, but all convenience functions (door locks, remote
