西人房东不退押金怎么办?

搬出来已经快半个月了,还没联系上西人房东怎么办?打电话,发信息他一概不理.上门去找他,他老婆说会让他回电话,但还是没任何消息..押金不到600. 我有租房前签的合同.我应该告他吗??可以去什么机构咨询呢??完全没有经验,还请大家出出主意.

You can issue a report against the landlord there.

According Rental Act in Edmonton,
1) You have to leave a new home address to the landlord. Landlord should return your deposit within 10 working days. (You have to leave an address, you cannot go to landload's address to collect deposit, because repsonsibility is mutal, in case he found damages more than the deposit, he needs your new address to ask for more compensation).
2) You have to give 30 days notice of leave at first day of Month. Say you are leave at Jan 16, you have to notify him at Dec 1st. If you fail to do so, the landlord can use your deposit to be part of rent.
3) Landlord will deduct carpet shampoo fee and heat-air-pipe fee from the deposit, if you live there for more than 1 year, unless you provided the receipts that you hired someone professional did the clean already.

Leave him a msg and tell him if you do not receive it in 5 business days, then you will see him in court.

我房东说去度假了,回来一直没时间联系我.后来打电话给我,全部算清了.还算是个正常人.呵呵

alberta service 可以解决，很简单，上网搜一下就出来了。不用花钱。是省政府。
