-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new

-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
3 a& Y$ `& D2 X/ y2 K/ P-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
; \! q6 {" Q6 W) @-        Participate in peer reviews;
% V1 S# w2 Y) \- g7 O- Y" R, ^-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
-        Programming planned enhancements;
1 z/ {3 c# j: _! S-        Testing system changes;
+ s+ }- l, Z5 v* q6 M5 v. n-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
department’s change management processes;
3 O5 Q: w+ P' r" D  H8 X-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
7 d/ _5 \$ {% D* p7 z-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
+ w+ T. `* J* g8 W( Z-        Lead short term projects;
-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
% ^: y+ A8 y/ B. m-        Excellent written communication skills;
# d3 ~, A/ a6 K- x' Z: o-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
7 I* e' X, S. X/ Z! j) Leffective delivery of service; and
-        Understanding of project management.



A. Mandatory Requirements
) x) K" C; P  W5 [8 D2 e(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
3 r1 w1 E1 y/ E- m0 U" J9 [' p: M: mfor incorporating new technology.

(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

, {" o5 h  B- B! B2 h: ~0 ]' h3 b5 X(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

$ A1 z$ N" u- [7 [% f) M& X( ~(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.
; k, X; d. n) @% J$ x
% \$ D3 C& G' u% q5 X0 G' _- u(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
( b( H8 d4 g+ _8 A/ \) n- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
' K7 h! z, n; a% J6 t* V3 u- y! d" B. C- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
