-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
technology;
-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
( w$ z6 e* s' r-        Participate in peer reviews;
1 _# m/ |& A( F-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
-        Programming planned enhancements;
-        Testing system changes;
( Z2 E6 F4 ~$ k  L-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
  ^' d. b' ~* }' Y5 }department’s change management processes;
  o; n9 L* d: L2 B" W5 S8 Y-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
+ U7 f" Z4 X8 @5 Q-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
/ j2 v  j, ?  I-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
-        Lead short term projects;
0 G9 [% I# Z" [1 Z! L' l-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
* h( S& |2 p4 U! v8 [-        Excellent written communication skills;
& H/ w9 X$ w+ S: w7 f! }-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
) |$ E# ~- _0 weffective delivery of service; and
! P+ u7 o+ ^6 Z-        Understanding of project management.

A. Mandatory Requirements
(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.

(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

: ^' F3 w0 I5 M6 C(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

0 H) \3 p2 ^1 A8 W, Y(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

6 B* \( Z5 ^3 ^4 @+ a0 X(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

* w8 b: p% v; f  H" {' r(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

& h( ?+ [+ ^# U(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:

$ r- f6 n' v) l& j" N' T1 U- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET

- Crystal Reports
- Pdflib

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
; \$ v+ ?" o6 }0 T4 ^, A" b0 c9 [- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
1 f. T/ u; U/ S- d3 e- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
