Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

9 T1 ?/ C3 h; _Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 4 u' q) g- F1 h# L

Key Responsibilities:
) @! K6 q+ Q4 ^! G- h) _ \" ?• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person' m! g4 _8 ^- Q: M
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
+ G9 a# S& g5 h8 B• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately; |* P9 E9 H% _& [: |% [
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
" L' W, w# J. l8 B! x• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
. P$ r4 ^+ B+ V: \% H7 x2 E, c% i• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean1 W+ o Q5 ?: M8 r
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:7 l6 z& P8 X' ?) R
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
2 w5 S; y* u* T9 A• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
M/ S/ g: [- \; t: @• Good English writing and oral communication skills
* I6 J! b/ s1 F- ]• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients0 [5 k$ C! @1 [$ j, g, a0 t% N& A
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook# P/ x, X3 W/ a2 S7 [
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately ]/ [% N. U% Z& t. ]& U; M+ z
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:7 q/ r+ ~# F1 y7 o) s
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
+ Y3 a. H& c: L1 l0 a5 L6 p• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
3 ^9 ?3 \0 P) d0 G5 U- Z4 }• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
* r. \" _9 m, |6 K• Ability to work well under minimal supervision' ?4 X: R" I" _
