Position Summary:
* G. U* ]# ~8 m; u4 M+ iWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
, q) s& v. V7 {• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person/ h) ~) [5 P7 s6 i$ ?
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
7 x5 Z. a# H& G: \• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately( U' e4 q: T3 F& J
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter: P! @6 t' R5 ]3 Q& h4 O$ y1 e
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
8 ]5 z% u) E( K* T+ N• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker0 W0 I1 d0 n$ N5 g# w9 m
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events7 o" `$ [8 J5 w5 P7 v8 Q& z
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
$ N: S9 c5 G" I" s% u. T6 N• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
5 Q9 m* C* u6 X: z M. s• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters& u0 U1 t$ c4 K; n8 }
• Maintain front counter service files

• Report to ISP Program Manager

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
& t4 n! [8 P, B: h6 m$ u6 [9 M• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

& c6 _/ r2 H3 v/ b$ i0 t9 a1 z! J' p• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
" b4 n' S5 o4 J4 b D1 m• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook! M/ X& N( s; L
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
# c# N, a9 }: E' {1 I0 D5 l, U• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
# D) W# M) E O1 ~• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
