N5 U& I8 m Q0 C" yWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ) S& D9 q% k. / J- } h F! u4 m" PKey Responsibilities:
- U. n1 w6 s' q o7 W7 f5 [• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person( W/ @1 H' s* R- b% D
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
; _; v3 ?- W `' @( D' U• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
! K k7 |* V. u1 S$ `3 b6 A• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter/ E! v! D9 J4 x
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents {0 l9 [+ \$ @; [7 w' L
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker1 |7 l3 D2 R% r' l
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
z& |/ g! U- O) J• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
: P. j9 z) H8 B& @• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
' F9 N4 i5 G' Q N* k• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
: b; F) n/ p5 i; u( ]; u• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person% l* N) ?6 G6 |9 k( {/ Q* L
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
% E. ? K& J( x( ]5 P }6 C" w• Good English writing and oral communication skills' p' d* h4 P9 }% r
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients T; G3 K2 `9 K* s3 f
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook$ T8 _! K, \6 Y7 v9 H
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately % N: l9 D( @ J9 u! [
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds# }: C4 A' p& f
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment0 |4 M8 B k. e! L: H
• Knowledge of immigrant services' w; {- D$ n2 l9 Q

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
- J: D9 h' d9 c: k• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment: C6 t# |/ p' O2 S/ @. W
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism e7 y# {- }0 n! a' h7 z
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision% l; n2 [0 U4 I9 H4 c. @. _8 T/ a* u
