What is the criteria for reporting a traffic accident? Can I phone it in?
; O& ]7 l$ i. A* B, R n# a2 rEffective August 1, 2002, Saskatchewan motorists will only have to report motor vehicle collisions to police if the collision involves:
( `' R, g- w* {+ Q8 F1) Any bodily injury or death;" S9 c5 Y; }2 A
2) A Hit-and-Run;
# b6 P+ [" _2 \6 W+ A3) A driver impaired by alcohol or drugs;* d X7 L* ]: ~% k6 v, m4 s
4) A motor vehicle towed from the scene;- O1 e1 A9 f3 O4 }* A1 L
5) An out-of-province vehicle.

Normally, police would be dispatched to the collisions described above. One exception may be an owner's discovery that his/her vehicle has been damaged in a hit-and-run, but the vehicle can still be safely driven to Police Headquarters. In such a case, the owner could make a report in person at Police Headquarters.
