What is the criteria for reporting a traffic accident? Can I phone it in?
% `4 j( l/ Y* v, q: SEffective August 1, 2002, Saskatchewan motorists will only have to report motor vehicle collisions to police if the collision involves:
4 \- y' {, r& s3 L6 {8 X1) Any bodily injury or death;
! b. S* s2 w6 i1 { L: y2) A Hit-and-Run;
% X; l2 G$ a2 n3 {+ ]7 ?2 R3 {/ M3) A driver impaired by alcohol or drugs;5 h2 j& c* B' \8 `. ^
4) A motor vehicle towed from the scene;) g4 _4 Z7 ~) |9 G$ ]* ^& V
5) An out-of-province vehicle.1 R1 k) q3 W5 M7 \9 f

Normally, police would be dispatched to the collisions described above. One exception may be an owner's discovery that his/her vehicle has been damaged in a hit-and-run, but the vehicle can still be safely driven to Police Headquarters. In such a case, the owner could make a report in person at Police Headquarters.
