What is the criteria for reporting a traffic accident? Can I phone it in?
3 j' g8 G& C' ~' {1 V; TEffective August 1, 2002, Saskatchewan motorists will only have to report motor vehicle collisions to police if the collision involves:
1 K0 Q- _" u. F7 P5 K, U1) Any bodily injury or death;
& E" k9 n6 S/ t2) A Hit-and-Run;
9 B6 p( M# G! Z/ [3 c3) A driver impaired by alcohol or drugs;' }* {, M- C1 ?1 p# R1 K k
4) A motor vehicle towed from the scene;6 y4 p5 K9 W* p' i
5) An out-of-province vehicle.% a' D: k! Q" P* M6 V% V6 D

Normally, police would be dispatched to the collisions described above. One exception may be an owner's discovery that his/her vehicle has been damaged in a hit-and-run, but the vehicle can still be safely driven to Police Headquarters. In such a case, the owner could make a report in person at Police Headquarters.; V# t5 L' n3 D# b& h, J& F
