- submit information for community news

- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers- Q8 m0 S# f& r$ k' ?: B8 \
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties3 }/ ]6 q/ x: T% Z$ J3 z
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties, R$ |: ^2 m! C7 Q3 S
- provide volunteers for various programs
2 b' E( }. A4 _9 h9 c. [. \- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual; r' j! d5 X2 P7 A
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
) _( x- V4 v& b( v j- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities# b) }8 q) U* B
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services c" F& c0 _* o9 G8 b) [
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports9 r& s. @+ T* n( y
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
e5 X2 H8 W" G+ f t- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
3 h' H; ?# w4 ^- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)+ { _1 R# M, ^# ~- M
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

2 ?3 O6 {) s# w) R- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers * o3 h8 D7 O% ^3 M
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers " C; @% C5 o3 f2 _
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis 2 L/ ^7 f6 ^4 I5 l1 J* R
- evaluations

Z$ \. M7 h1 e( L5 L- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
' [9 u$ c3 o% ^/ B, ^9 {& Q- good oral and written Chinese and English skills9 G; t1 N* n# e. x0 B" J+ Y/ M# W" k
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
" G5 s1 i0 Y, Z: G8 K- leadership skills
6 w% O, i2 A0 T8 G& l- management and supervision skills
$ z/ l B" T8 _) d- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
