CALGARY — A teen girl was taken to Foothills Hospital in potentially life-threatening condition Monday morning after a head-on collision that involved a "complicated extrication" near Chestermere./ ~6 e( K) V# @, U/ x
6 L8 T$ w* {/ l# u3 y9 D2 p( b& E& cAt around 8:30 a.m., RCMP, Chestermere fire crews and Calgary EMS personnel were called to Highway 791 just east of Calgary after a pick-up truck and smaller car crashed head-on, said EMS spokesman Stuart Brideaux.: |5 h$ w* F8 ^9 h. B
% h, v( u: b2 M/ D/ p0 E4 l. FThe female driver in her mid-teens, who was the lone occupant of the small car, sustained serious and potentially life-threatening injuries and needed to be extricated from the vehicle by fire crews.
