Career Edge Organization is currently looking for help to fill a great internship opportunity for a Letter of Credit Officer with Scotiabank located in Calgary.

Mandatory Qualifications:

& j" O1 r  [- S6 Q4 _, R8 f•        Several years of practical experience in Trade Finance activities
0 k  }; r* h, H& u
/ j0 X4 @/ U  G" l4 O# [7 p•        Thorough and complete knowledge of the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits, the Bills of Exchange Act, INCOTERMS, world shipping practices, and Canadian / Foreign customs

•        Strong knowledge of statutory requirements, International Law and Customs relating to Letters of Credit and Bank policy as high level transactional support to customers is required

4 m. K7 l4 a9 k# w•        Capable of applying knowledge in accurately assessing / mitigating transaction and compliance risks and making judgemental decisions on problem transactions

  M! M3 @: E3 E* |  A3 Z•        Comfortable working in an environment involving significant risk exposure to the Bank.

•        have at least 3 years of international work experience in their field
•        have little or no career related Canadian work experience
•        have been in Canada for less than 3 years
