dyson vacuums rate "okay" in the consumer reports reviews. you can get a hoover or a kenmore that performs the same or better for the same or less money. I think DC35 is a standout because no other company is ludicrous enough to make a $350 dust buster, and I am ludicrous enough to want one.+ ~' Q1 z+ V4 V/ \
" `9 R, _/ O! O0 H& t& |I'll spoil the CR reviews for you. the only dyson they recommend is the Dyson DC28 Animal. and they recommend two Hoover and two LG ahead of it. their best buy is a Hoover WindTunnel T-Series Rewind Bagless UH70120 for around $150, and it has excellent user reviews as well. compare that to $400+ for the LG and dyson which they don't think is any better. PS: it is worth noting that the highest rated bagless vacuums (the category dyson competes in) have slightly lower ratings than the highest rated bagged ones.

vacuums vary a lot on mutually exclusive attributes, and your choice of vacuum should depend on your preferences for these attributes, not the brand name. do you need a light vacuum? do you need a bag to keep the dust away from you? do you need it to be awesome at carpets? do you need it to be awesome at pet hair? do you need it to be quiet? you can't get it all one one vacuum. |
