( h& L4 H0 y) v+ O7 i' l1 nPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. • Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person6 |6 v! b, y, F$ C0 }4 X% v1 t
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
5 S0 L. ~- v( w( k! Z+ a* j• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately. W P/ X" s5 N5 \) q
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
$ {( O& \* a: S x1 }+ ~, `6 D• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
" q2 p) F& r7 j• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker6 d5 @/ G9 B8 T y( R
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events: X V2 k& D% Q/ w5 p# c
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters( H( K: N4 n: E1 Y r1 j$ L
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
; F; K; M i! a2 ^+ a• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person ]& P6 T! O, e) G' q( ^% T
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
2 R( `5 K0 G9 G; W( t% k) e& v• Good English writing and oral communication skills+ x$ F' l6 K/ t6 a1 d; B# M
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients

• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:) T0 l9 | c! `$ C
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
- x5 n4 b8 E `) o0 o( f3 y• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment- T- w3 x! B& X0 J3 g$ K
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism. w, H5 z! i( m4 \2 r) F4 `+ w3 Y
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision: Q1 r! p, K( c! w& A1 h; I
