Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
5 ]6 |, p3 ^5 ]0 u! `• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
/ t6 ^% I. |1 X7 P• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter) W6 V# V. b9 Q! p
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents1 w. L v5 C: G1 m
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

) C5 G# k+ T& o" S- d! _ Y• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters6 O8 k$ k7 {$ o# S, A/ A6 V
• Maintain front counter service files0 D3 p3 }2 {: [3 f$ i
• Perform general office duties as assigned, e( z# N6 r4 d$ F/ a
• Report to ISP Program Manager8 _8 H8 K* r$ C% b
& j% }, f; d( h& S& H9 m# e" d' _Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:! p: }) s8 s$ p1 b6 p; v
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
! u' h1 |+ a4 K4 z% m9 f• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
" N8 U" D# J( e, L& n• Good English writing and oral communication skills/ t7 s" x' s; Z, K; c
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
! c# k! n) B, A4 Y) o2 A/ s( v6 ^• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook- C: p; v6 k R& [# Q2 j# y
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
& s' [6 N6 B/ ?• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds$ S- P: _9 E8 p T4 H' f
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
6 k# {+ ]# r! U1 b& i• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment8 x W) ]* c' J& @ h- g
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
