" C. g B, c9 h3 w7 D5 ^& MPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
, ~* p S4 Q) L$ r• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
2 X$ ?5 K) i& M+ v. Z• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
8 s" y# U) r4 z& e- T• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter! O# @) E6 Y7 T
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
: Q Q7 L& h6 X' S( |8 {, K• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker% L5 A2 L: N: e+ Y. i, d5 I2 w
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:8 r* v$ }1 I4 q4 F* v O
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person/ X7 Q/ F" }% _1 D/ X6 f# c% v0 X
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset" x( g+ e m2 g! M' v; @; b
• Good English writing and oral communication skills# g7 O8 D: v* p; ?' x- F4 Z- o/ o% v
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
8 ?4 O: M4 B h! e: A7 S% Q6 h• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
% L* Y3 V3 W k: l& V* \• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
8 W: Y0 I9 r% b5 M• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
