Hours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person1 f4 F) W$ D# ~+ u K
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST! Y' @6 w( P% g
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately% P2 D+ ^. `- S- e5 ]. Z ~1 @) g
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter1 l! l _$ O7 Y$ l
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
3 y b* Z. S( w: }• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker$ h9 s$ k J& B; V9 P
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person5 r& X2 Y& Y" W% i' G/ D
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset, `* D- ]) a, J& D
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
' \) F& b' F4 N# J0 I' L4 W( _+ W• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
& f S& P7 K% ^( v! ~• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook6 A2 r7 F, ~+ w) u& ]! S$ j0 E
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately $ t- V W. A2 C( N- ?* P
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds% K Q) e. x, M$ `& T$ f
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

. L+ d* A1 R1 J# H• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 3 c0 F! C, n" \- X7 r
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment+ C/ G- c! B0 h; a0 f
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
