Responsibilities

·         Engineering 480V to 38kV switchgear

, h/ J* Q8 l1 p, P·         Engineering 2.4kV to 7.2kV Motor Control Centres including softstarters and autotransformer starters
( o6 t) D$ M+ b) B* @: h- G5 N
·         Engineering fully integrated electrical buildings

5 K' W4 a- A6 E2 O3 ~' q- \·         Reviewing vendor drawings

·         Analyze customer drawings, specification and engineering notes in order to create a design that meets the customer’s needs.

·         Create a scope of work by identifying the company’s agreed to obligation.

·         Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

·         Assist project management and estimation with draft budget changes, based on customer design/scope changes.

·         Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

·         Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

·         Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

·         Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

Position Requirements

8 t% G! P- ]$ G·         BSc in Electrical Engineering
; f2 e) k' e; O* q
7 N3 n8 Z) X8 F1 Q·         Registered with APEGGA as an Engineer in Training
% R! J1 H, j9 v7 C0 u1 P2 m" w3 |
* o8 S/ K2 l) \7 J·         Attention to detail is a must

$ X2 Q9 S5 ?$ ~+ Y3 M1 U2 [·         Experience using AutoCAD is an asset
5 x" ?; [0 A/ s% B
( W- n0 Z# b4 A" }# }1 s·         Experience with Microsoft Office is an asset

·         Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

·         Ability to manage the engineering of multiple projects simultaneously
