Job Description:

7 Z4 X3 s+ c9 y8 z8 k•        To minimize the costs of operation in the Front Office Department while maximizing revenues.
. z5 V4 h9 q9 x* W•        Oversee hotel security requirements.
+ H1 S6 M! s6 [' ]/ n•        To recruit, train and develop Front Office personnel and provide direction, support, mentor and motivate as necessary.. S' U& T! h8 n3 @
•        To maintain or exceed the established standards of operation. : j7 ^9 V0 A: B8 @- X% h
•        To ensure the assets of the Front Office Department are maintained and controlled in accordance with the standards and objectives of the Hotel.
7 ^- o  p9 h/ U* m& N•        To communicate effectively with other Departments Heads to levels of business and type of business.6 r- N# O! c& O( n, P
•        To ensure positive closure to any negative situation. Handling and resolving guest complaints and unwanted guests./ w( k% A% B, J! ^& \
•        Be able to work all shifts including night audit when business levels are warranted. I.e. working weekends, covering sick leave.6 \1 B+ a  S% \, \
•        Weekly scheduling of the front desk staff. 2 S* G3 n* L- d8 I- H4 U
•        Manage rates on a daily basis for short and long term. ) }  e+ s/ _* o, v$ m2 Q
•        Perform 3 month and one year evaluations and/or when needed.
3 P# t5 k6 T4 E2 n/ I•        Leading and coaching to provide exceptional guest service.
: P" W: M" Q; p* C5 t•        Ensuring the safety and well being of our guests and co-workers by having working knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures and that all front desk staff are also aware.! `5 m# t3 H1 i# Z# C9 C
•        Attend Cluster meetings. $ u2 c& `: U& m7 y
•        Complete month end report, ROB, Cluster calendar, tracking, forecasting, source of business and any other revenue related report.
7 B2 E% T6 D3 U( T•        Handle PMS computer problems in each department
7 _  [% h; |* W6 X5 k- p•        Handle any issue with the 4 different interfaces : PBX call accounting, PBX messages, voice mail and movies
0 G# w3 ~' y2 Y. u9 u8 h7 w3 Y•        Handle any issues dealing with high speed internet in guest rooms or business center3 h; U( U+ ^3 p+ |. j" d. g0 V
•        Maintaining front desk floats, and FOM float ' ?( I. V5 ]) l8 L
•        Any other tasks assigned by the General Manager( M- ]) I; a& O- ^

• Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and businesses in a professional manner;

: A3 i9 n  B( F0 b  L( c8 i• Background in the development & execution of business and operating budgets;
2 v2 A- a3 x. o• Excellent oral & written communication skills; Strong organizational skills and be detailed orientated;
