Job Responsibilities
9 B3 W) `" o, ]  g; {•        To minimize the costs of operation in the Front Office Department while maximizing revenues.
3 |5 K) `" u$ A0 T3 i2 B; p•        Oversee hotel security requirements.
6 A3 }. z* b3 M9 _$ C- B- m, V•        To recruit, train and develop Front Office personnel and provide direction, support, mentor and motivate as necessary.* q( q9 E3 X( |, Q' w
•        To maintain or exceed the established standards of operation.
: E9 C9 Y% N. H•        To ensure the assets of the Front Office Department are maintained and controlled in accordance with the standards and objectives of the Hotel.
  E' Q3 x. t! C* r•        To communicate effectively with other Departments Heads to levels of business and type of business.
7 K' Q& O7 F3 l8 T- p- T8 m•        To ensure positive closure to any negative situation. Handling and resolving guest complaints and unwanted guests.6 i: |- G& L  Z, a
•        Be able to work all shifts including night audit when business levels are warranted. I.e. working weekends, covering sick leave.. Z# R; O/ a" B( i/ G" e
•        Weekly scheduling of the front desk staff.
: u+ @$ O" m" U3 @# v•        Manage rates on a daily basis for short and long term. 8 q8 e  S" `9 Q  v
•        Perform 3 month and one year evaluations and/or when needed.
5 Q. o6 I$ a1 K3 K9 D1 F% |•        Leading and coaching to provide exceptional guest service.
! T' g, @; C; {, z& ^$ J9 H4 |•        Ensuring the safety and well being of our guests and co-workers by having working knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures and that all front desk staff are also aware.
" X# t  w: P. Z2 R" J7 w•        Attend Cluster meetings. 4 ~1 `0 U; M! z2 @3 z
•        Complete month end report, ROB, Cluster calendar, tracking, forecasting, source of business and any other revenue related report.
9 C& Q& s4 n3 w) G& N•        Handle PMS computer problems in each department
# i' s. K0 h- d! r# G/ D  {  S; X, P•        Handle any issue with the 4 different interfaces : PBX call accounting, PBX messages, voice mail and movies9 v2 T' n9 W" t( \: b
•        Handle any issues dealing with high speed internet in guest rooms or business center5 Q% v$ X# l3 _. F$ ]) W" r* L. s
•        Maintaining front desk floats, and FOM float
1 s/ b, R/ i5 {' k•        Any other tasks assigned by the General Manager( i+ i7 J0 O5 V$ ~

•1-2 year of Management/ Supervisory experience in a Limited Service Property or Full Service Property
& l% U3 L( a" Y( z" d# k, c" K• Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and businesses in a professional manner;$ X$ ^7 C8 w+ F
• Ability to lead and develop;7 P& n9 i" w# ]9 Z3 d/ n* G
• Background in the development & execution of business and operating budgets;
. Y! B2 w  h7 L8 u+ V6 a2 b• Excellent oral & written communication skills; Strong organizational skills and be detailed orientated;

• High level of creativity and innovation;) M3 }/ _+ n- v/ h

• Strong interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of ACT, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
