The College's Objects as follows under The Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009:

: P; \8 k5 h6 n$ r& a+ r5. To issue certificates of qualification and statements of membership to members of the College and renew, amend, suspend, cancel, revoke or reinstate those certificates and statements as appropriate.

6. To promote the practice of trades.

9. To determine appropriate journeyperson to apprentice ratios for trades subject to ratios.

12. To address compliance issues in respect of matters within the jurisdiction of the College.
