(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By 8 N( v7 q+ i3 U
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of
9 y5 h- E, l( A- h* v9 Iinformation that will make your transition to the University community ! Q7 S8 N# |* k! C- k
more successful.

# j; q9 _$ X/ XIf you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
6 T- b; O4 u/ P" x! A2 ^of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically ; ~2 h/ g8 t2 {, ?4 |3 B! d0 _
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth ; k# ?- s4 X5 C
of directional information.

6 s8 F8 m- j5 NBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
T6 J, [( K" `, ractivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
9 i( B# b& J! l7 l# ta variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
% ?9 L8 g4 v' E( @/ H% C* a5 Q9 F! ~' tevening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
( m( i& p9 _: d, Z# \5 c" O* E( ^Hawrelak Park.' G( h* t2 a" t# u# w- j

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
; I9 l! x: e8 n1 e8 T0 n6 kSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
/ M' a, d4 ]$ w6 e" S5 B7 Land then continue to meet with for the entire year.! a3 F' K3 Z6 e; N
' i* r- v, B5 V4 U7 F& Z) `' r1 ZBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you ) s% Q: n, H0 v. Y( r+ v" n
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from - B$ u) A* I% V) Y. }8 n. s: Y$ \
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
* E* K* S, I1 Y: D% j5 z, `* IONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process 5 e C2 Y# M* ^/ |) S
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
# ?3 |( z* g) K0 fof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
9 H C4 ?9 e( a9 k' gComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
1 l& \% F- d% [. V7 L& N i! n9 i% gInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and - b, H9 b! B( D* z: X
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the - ?1 e t- p8 d: t8 `7 O
two days of Orientation).
