Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit * e( m6 P3 s. g
www.campusmap.ualberta.ca to find your check in location. However, don't worry about having
/ ^4 R* h$ s) K" |, O2 Ito find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds + x$ J% T' R) K+ ?
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically ( t P" t) M, S3 f [. Z
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
; ^9 c# Q& |4 A3 {, Uof directional information.
) v. j% K' N5 h8 N4 u) y2 @5 E) z% w/ q& u. l2 x# O) z
Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
# S5 q" _ L+ e0 i5 }" V7 K' _activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend 1 H6 M8 d4 P$ N6 m
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
4 W5 ]( ~9 w+ _% cevening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
N/ }* Z, D/ F" G3 R0 fHawrelak Park.5 l9 Y a* Q3 c6 o9 C* m
M- e- O' A8 k K* ?# uYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
6 H9 E1 g: X' x3 D6 ~0 MSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, $ p/ O9 x, K3 _3 ~: O5 A; |
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.* K1 z3 U) n' z: i
! G- K0 } u8 ^0 x5 P8 m7 O3 nBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
; Y+ V. ?+ s* z \+ E$ ?to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
& P" T0 M7 n9 i! {: ryour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your . t5 |) I7 p0 [* O5 _7 d/ E2 `
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process 0 K. t9 I. T9 s) h
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
- k; e; S; O# `6 L7 _7 R% s* N$ Z8 bof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus , P9 u8 }. f v0 z+ l: J$ u3 {
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic 8 n' t) G& N/ F6 O h" F3 j# X: X. S
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
- L% B0 L: N# s$ abring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
3 L; d3 `' u3 p/ mtwo days of Orientation).
