买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

You can claim an amount of $5,000 for the purchase of a qualifying home made in 2013, if both of the following apply:9 @: `9 q+ k# k& \/ U, g1 [. b8 {
•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and
0 }& n1 Y7 t" b•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer).: r$ w( L4 d3 C0 n5 T2 U* \8 J9 y
So the non-refundable tax credit is up to $750.

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。

A qualifying home must be registered in your and/or your spouse's or common-law partner's name in accordance with the applicable land registration system, and must be located in Canada. It includes existing homes and homes under construction.4 u) L5 I- t2 @9 ?: G) G. X1 S5 Z/ X( ~* h
& ~& [! I3 d+ b! N$ H6 p8 {
The following are considered qualifying homes:
8 q7 I+ `: n, z% ~2 o! e9 k2 ?8 i5 Q9 N7 ^
    single-family houses;
( o( i  @' v# F7 y8 L/ g    semi-detached houses;
# l4 C/ I; j+ B5 Z% X2 t  e    townhouses;

    condominium units; and
8 u+ e6 p. ^0 d3 C    apartments in duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes, or apartment buildings.$ g! e5 L; B) }/ V1 ?0 x

A share in a co-operative housing corporation that entitles you to own and gives you an equity interest in a housing unit located in Canada also qualifies. However, a share that only gives you the right to tenancy in the housing unit does not qualify.( A: H  B! @! w3 y

在税表的Schedule 1 - Line 369行填上5000,折合成tax credit =5000*15%=750. 就是把你的交税额减去$750.

The claim can be split between you and your spouse or common-law partner, but the combined total cannot exceed $5,000.

" q0 q; T% M5 B% [- d) u  @/ Z1 MWhen more than one individual is entitled to the amount (for example, when two people jointly buy a home), the total of all amounts claimed cannot exceed $5,000.
