(a) drive a motor vehicle on a highway unless the motor

(c) where a person is the registered owner of a motor vehicle,. S! l: n* W. d8 K+ i- q: J
permit another person

unless the motor vehicle is an insured motor vehicle;

Subsection (1)(a) and (b) do not apply to a person to whom a
( t8 N# E7 l& F1 }3 {- ~2 ufinancial responsibility card has been issued pursuant to the% h5 j# h& A) t z$ v: H
Insurance Act
& e3 o8 ~# z& a1 Q8 a, d( Eby an insurer who has issued an owner’s policy
; e3 Y* j' `3 Y- `8 Z. `$ o" ooutside Alberta.
( @: C. x! s0 b" y0 c+ d2 R* q(4)) ^$ @* w* f/ g% a0 j( Q+ V
A person, other than a corporation, who contravenes subsection
9 m/ {0 F- C! e3 v: l/ e5 V: r(1) or section 52(1)(h) or 167(8) is liable,3 s' I- j o( W1 X& V* l/ \( {2 q
(a) for the first contravention, to a fine of not less than $2500
. p' z# {8 c% M1 }+ land not more than $10 000 and in default of payment to5 T+ q9 O7 }- I- r3 O; [0 Z4 d0 R
imprisonment for a term of not less than 45 days and not
5 t# q, V/ F) q7 I# |more than 6 months

Minimum $2500, if you don't pay, you will go to jail for a minimum of 45 days. |
