) ]* C. |8 h+ LExcept as otherwise permitted under this Act, a person shall

vehicle is an insured motor vehicle;; B5 `& a0 i2 P, P" |& S
(b) have a motor vehicle on a highway unless the motor! T! k4 y* R3 Z; ]( k
vehicle is an insured motor vehicle;% l7 z6 {& i; A p T8 n3 p6 ~
(c) where a person is the registered owner of a motor vehicle,5 F3 Y V, C1 B+ A9 J
permit another person
8 ^7 J# M2 U; C# M: L4 Z(i) to drive the motor vehicle on a highway, or7 f- o( \# a/ v$ B) a5 q5 q
(ii) to have the motor vehicle on a highway,
2 z& E$ p2 y$ a) ~7 }unless the motor vehicle is an insured motor vehicle;4 N9 U; z9 P5 i* k: ?
(d) give or lend a financial

to a person not entitled to have that financial! z! |5 z8 d; X% O) P6 B; j7 d
responsibility card or copy.

without the expressed or implied consent of the registered owner of
6 y! H. R) k9 B1 r) F; Xthe vehicle, that person is deemed for the purposes of subsection
9 L( Q! a7 N. ~(1)(a) or (b) to drive or have on a highway a motor vehicle that is- h# n8 C7 k" l. Z

If the registration of a motor vehicle is suspended under this

A person, other than a corporation, who contravenes subsection) T2 i: R1 N7 V X- }8 G) N
(1) or section 52(1)(h) or 167(8) is liable,3 G9 ?: d7 H" z
(a) for the first contravention, to a fine of not less than $2500
# I' f; v' h+ i! uand not more than $10 000 and in default of payment to
9 h" b) N0 r3 z. d' c/ Timprisonment for a term of not less than 45 days and not; t/ d0 ?0 z6 x4 e7 D- H' M
more than 6 months

Minimum $2500, if you don't pay, you will go to jail for a minimum of 45 days. |
