(b) have a motor vehicle on a highway unless the motor

(c) where a person is the registered owner of a motor vehicle,- Y, O9 b/ E$ _* H
permit another person# g- w% z# g) e& D- A) f. D
(i) to drive the motor vehicle on a highway, or
~0 v. q: Q/ |: B* N ]$ A2 m(ii) to have the motor vehicle on a highway,

responsibility card or a copy of it

If a person drives or has a motor vehicle on a highway$ f) h) y7 H+ F+ {
without the expressed or implied consent of the registered owner of i( `( Q7 u1 w
the vehicle, that person is deemed for the purposes of subsection, t8 B( A3 u0 n" ?. P1 ~3 a4 t( |, {" R
(1)(a) or (b) to drive or have on a highway a motor vehicle that is5 r* U; b, B1 y2 w M# f
not an insured motor vehicle., m; D8 n3 Z& V! h7 g) l6 X n1 l0 E

Subsection (1)(a) and (b) do not apply to a person to whom a7 B7 U) ], M& @7 s. V

by an insurer who has issued an owner’s policy

A person, other than a corporation, who contravenes subsection" Y1 v+ U" y$ T$ k+ \$ n- y
(1) or section 52(1)(h) or 167(8) is liable,
8 G/ K5 w8 `$ a5 w5 {' {( s(a) for the first contravention, to a fine of not less than $2500( j5 i) Q2 f0 g, s( j
and not more than $10 000 and in default of payment to' o( ~7 T* ^2 W- ^7 m2 E6 p
imprisonment for a term of not less than 45 days and not
8 O' `8 p% k6 }" Mmore than 6 months
. w& z2 a( }9 d& ] T! QMinimum $2500, if you don't pay, you will go to jail for a minimum of 45 days. |
