Newcomers are being offered some help when shopping for a home in Edmonton’s tight housing market.
: h$ x% ~% t, i* Y- jImmigrant women and their families can now access a “household toolkit” crafted by a local service group for new immigrant families, through real estate agents. 9 `9 \1 u% F; q4 |

In the tool kit are 75 common hand tools – like a hammer and screwdriver – as well a book on how to buy a home, a home maintenance schedule and other items.

“The tools are a symbol of hope for people trying to build new lives in Edmonton,” said Madeline Sarafinchan, president of the Edmonton Real Estate Board. + o1 @9 H/ }: F' v( Z
