From your description, I suspect that the leakage should be attend as soon as practicable, because prolonged leak could lead to depletion of transmission fluid that can eventually fail it. Adding tyranny fluid is as simple as finding the transmission dip stick for old cars. Some newer vehicles have sealed transmission and it's a daunting task to add fluid (you have to use a pump if you DIY). I would go to the piblic library or google it to find the location of the tranny dipstick first. Good luck buddy

In any city in Canada, the public libraries have shelves of auto repair manuals and books...The PLs used to be my favored places to go in weekends...All it cost me was a library card...Today the internet makes things unbelievably easier.
