Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities

6 o! R0 z5 P. X0 W) dEstimate food requirements and food/labor costs
5 J9 |, H/ r( @" u! }& _Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
5 s0 W& U- w- `+ RArrange for equipment purchases and repairs
Recruit and manage kitchen staff
% W& n/ l" p2 i7 R  wRectify arising problems or complaints
7 Q& @1 K" r8 L& lGive prepared plates the “final touch”
! `* s- `- Q# a3 bPerform administrative duties
2 U/ q8 b3 W( p$ T+ d0 `0 ZComply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Keep time and payroll records
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Proven working experience as a head chef
Excellent record of kitchen management
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
Capable of delegating multiple tasks
Communication and leadership skills

Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
