Today I was volunteering at a post office. A man in an old jacket with uncombed hair came to the counter. He had a wallet in his hand, and put it on the counter. He told me: 0 N- G( F+ L) p) |) a+ a. c
"I am going to send it back". M7 v ~0 _7 t
I did not understand what he meant by "it", because usually people would send a letter or a parcel back to the sender, and I did not see he had any of those. So I asked him:

% {! T/ z$ x/ Q: `- A; u# yHe said, "the Wallet, I am sending back the wallet." Then he added: "I am going to pay the postage."

"Yes, I did."
% L: ?3 h* a8 t7 gFinally I understood: this dishevelled man found a wallet, and he was going to return it to the owner by post. 0 n+ ^1 R$ s( `4 U/ z9 x! r
He took the ID card from the wallet, and showed me the address of the loser of the wallet. I saw there were several one-hundred bills in the wallet.
+ s; z' _+ m" i5 w"Are you going to take some money from the wallet to pay the postage?"

He took out his wallet, which was nearly worn-out, small, and almost empty. There were some coins inside. ) i5 x) z* k$ Z* |# Q p$ t+ K# V
I gave him a bubbled envelope, and instructed him where to write the addresses. He wrote the owner's address, but stopped at writing a return address. He asked:* O# X9 b/ G( `4 N
"Is it okay that I do not write this part?"
/ g( U( J) }+ C& Z, L. V! Q"Yes, you may." I thought he must want to be a nameless hero. But he said:; x$ V: y' n' @3 h) M0 z3 _% H! b4 b# }7 [
"I do not have an address."& O9 R2 {. |9 v; z: N" v
I was surprised: "oh, where do you live?"% G# ]- w+ }% V/ ~" U0 d
He did not look up, and said: "I do not have a home."9 m- z ~# F: [$ J' E
My heart had a sudden jump. I realized that this is a homeless man who found money but was sending it back to the person who lost it. 1 s: l; M# q, L: V
He did not a posses a home, but he had a big heart. He had the precious fortune of being a man of integrity.
