Today I was volunteering at a post office. A man in an old jacket with uncombed hair came to the counter. He had a wallet in his hand, and put it on the counter. He told me: 2 \8 z: C% s" g, e& }- Y) O
"I am going to send it back". 9 `9 M# H n4 H4 ~
I did not understand what he meant by "it", because usually people would send a letter or a parcel back to the sender, and I did not see he had any of those. So I asked him:' M `; D: C8 I/ a2 `1 u/ S/ P9 A
"I am sorry, what are you sending back?" ! {& a+ D, N) u: v& o% H" N5 B
He said, "the Wallet, I am sending back the wallet." Then he added: "I am going to pay the postage."
( z; ~# f. ]4 n, z% K7 q) ?"Oh, you found a wallet, and you are going to send it back to the person who lost it?"

Finally I understood: this dishevelled man found a wallet, and he was going to return it to the owner by post. ! M1 m$ ~9 M, |4 A: m8 ]% u1 C3 [
He took the ID card from the wallet, and showed me the address of the loser of the wallet. I saw there were several one-hundred bills in the wallet.

He took out his wallet, which was nearly worn-out, small, and almost empty. There were some coins inside. % t6 e* p1 r1 D
I gave him a bubbled envelope, and instructed him where to write the addresses. He wrote the owner's address, but stopped at writing a return address. He asked:

I was surprised: "oh, where do you live?": j; N* w+ T! |
He did not look up, and said: "I do not have a home."0 E5 D" Z4 Z% C5 K! s, d v
My heart had a sudden jump. I realized that this is a homeless man who found money but was sending it back to the person who lost it. * k$ C$ N+ {, E2 d" L, s8 y
He did not a posses a home, but he had a big heart. He had the precious fortune of being a man of integrity. n' p7 B7 F! ? w
