The Government of Alberta introduced the special Support Our Troops licence plate in 2014. The Support Our Troops licence plate honours current and former members of the Canadian Armed Forces. : L4 c" }# i% ] P( Y1 z2 F& y* k( h0 G2 e+ L$ \4 N# B
The majority of the revenue from the sale of this plate will go towards the Support Our Troops Program managed by the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services.+ t- H- z% x7 u) M8 y% h( M

The Support Our Troops plate doesn’t replace the veterans licence plate and you cannot exchange a veterans licence plate for a Support Our Troops plate.' `8 D6 Y4 O/ W4 l) E
