Job Description : Description of Accountability

5 o3 g9 W, P/ S3 fAs a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:9 L" e- U1 ~: y' m- p* G7 I L
. o! |) b% Y1 c2 D( I n- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
}- c7 X# G( g+ r0 s- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. r! B: \6 O" v
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. ' y# s5 N7 b _2 \
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
# D* j- {0 K( }! i6 o. G- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. : P3 i6 y* Q: d4 [& h' Y, n7 _
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). 9 R! ]. m* Y% B
- Managing shift expense budgets.

- Strong leadership skills 5 K4 ?- R" U) v( g/ b' I
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma & [- ~# D$ l/ s5 g; k
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills 7 r2 O; `8 T; b6 L x S* s2 I
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
$ u" s! q4 F9 _& z7 K- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.; Z+ ^; D) ]$ f+ |
