5 |. j8 F; _7 TAs a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:" v/ }0 M0 h; O4 k$ }' }: G; s
5 e3 x4 [2 y' s4 i# u# M2 I1 j3 o, b
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
( P2 M4 X, E% V4 m- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. R& ^! V) d x* m" T3 |* K
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
$ J+ Z9 _; _+ \1 I- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
+ I) O9 Z! n# E/ x1 G- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. 8 ~# c O' ?5 _6 X J
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). 4 F& ] [2 C3 h% |0 O( P- A& n+ i' ^
- Managing shift expense budgets.

- K. h8 f: `; H# {. w( c$ aExperience and Education Requirements' V! h+ x, n$ R& W0 S/ ?$ U
+ X1 H" |9 ?, h* [ v. e- x$ r- Previous supervisory experience 3 X* t" S4 B4 D7 H, ?& O; f7 O- ?0 s
- Strong leadership skills
, x% B. x1 c- D- N- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
) Q3 l7 S4 H4 |; s: R+ h5 }$ b- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills ; p2 `) @2 R! x' b) D
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations ' {* q! V" T3 a. f
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
