Job Description : Description of Accountability 3 \% a. L2 z# x1 H/ V2 o v& _
% S9 t# C% L, H, I/ K/ D; C4 o! kAs a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:, I! h5 y* V7 n; t7 H3 H5 S z
0 y, f" m4 y9 c! B) x$ R- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
. m* g7 l8 M. a- D8 }- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
. H1 g" C* F, y- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. - f# r0 n( i8 e/ Q
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. ' p$ `- U" d/ d3 R6 b. G
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. 7 w+ Z: V: d% G# l* r9 _' g: p
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). % }8 f* q% W) _ a2 Q
- Managing shift expense budgets.

. g6 f1 t8 _2 ]6 Y9 }" C
" R0 U8 H- W" }# f- Previous supervisory experience 7 |# L0 K( ~1 f9 [1 p
- Strong leadership skills & X8 h6 K$ C% C1 w f9 s
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
; u: s% x) ~5 N, {# w- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
+ A8 n1 s' x. m' \- x9 v3 ?- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations 4 e. O6 h6 _& c6 C, I1 S
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
