As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
9 \8 g9 ~1 X1 f" O: ^4 g3 V7 V7 `2 q3 @/ v! b8 W8 p
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. , u. I6 r4 M9 Q. `* O( c* Y2 w
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
4 b; `3 _# l8 A) Z6 q- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. 3 M3 l T* ?9 z8 c
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. + r6 x" ]4 x1 s6 r" `6 C/ W" f
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. 5 K+ |8 y3 s& o2 N" R% A
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).

* J" W5 X& h( Y! x2 @: Y5 _- Previous supervisory experience
: O3 I6 r A5 W, G6 V7 \, s+ j9 I- Strong leadership skills ' @! ~7 @' S F) `3 ], P3 F/ g
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
) u% Y7 G+ h9 g3 V) c- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
( g8 y$ |5 P$ ~$ }- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations $ i' P% s2 p+ N G+ }: L' W
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
