9 v3 l: J: Y. a$ j& hClarica was introduced in 1999 by Mutual life of Canada, and was acquired by Sun Life three years later.
' b8 n8 z6 a7 g* Z7 p4 uThere are almost two million Clarica policy- and accountholders in Canada, said Sun Life. Clarica also has a sales force of about 3,500.

The company said the changes will be completed by the first quarter of 2008. Sun Life will incur a $40-million to $50-million charge in the first quarter of 2007.
