Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties
: Y0 g0 p& H& O3 u  a( S
· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

0 Z, O1 X) F; D5 o· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

+ x. |4 `6 G9 m. y1 ~  b$ v· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
4 k& K, c& |1 n0 b2 N
· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

. T- E' d( P/ d) f8 f) P· Operate manual and automatic shifts

2 o' S2 B4 K; `" q2 H1 \! M3 s· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
- ]% `9 C3 K+ W3 e6 \4 B' T) NQualifications and Training Requirements

$ W7 C2 }5 u9 E· Minimum 3 years experience
- _% y  Z5 b. P- h. w) ^  m
3 C# p& V% p; @* l$ t  Z6 ~/ @· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
9 p  J& y, ~8 E+ u3 E; _
· Load securement certification
7 A6 z" N& o- q8 D" N& m: a
* @9 v0 c9 Q' E& y3 M· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

0 O( S4 A) {: n8 q- t· Excellent organizational and time management skills

" t3 g+ ?; V0 ]0 @/ |) @8 ?· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

  ^0 d9 w2 U" U0 W· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
