Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
% ?6 N/ X; x/ E# s4 j* F, n
· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
$ \7 l) |! g1 ^6 D" B
· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
) M5 @: r( u. L" N
7 }6 P4 y0 Q/ A1 C1 z& a· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

; Q0 R+ B) v, E! E4 ?1 s· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
; b3 O" f- h! \
· Operate manual and automatic shifts
" ?% A' ]6 B3 A: a( B, V) T' g
& a; g9 j% q! M, G! y- }! g· Secure loads safely

4 a" L7 H$ B9 p) C6 @· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license

0 S2 b; Y. T1 e4 T( n· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification
5 Q% a$ M* P( F7 W
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

' t, a5 r# v+ Y· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

) I: t4 q' d0 ^· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
