Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
' A% ] {) E9 zweekend hours.
# U$ x$ H# L1 F- L/ w( f- o3 WYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
* K- x* b6 m! [* c Flab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the" {! f5 A5 X) V5 @; n: ^, g$ \" C
centre.( ~+ q S* L2 n- c$ M7 t$ A
These responsibilities include:
5 L: q2 w2 P( k: @-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
. ?1 B* @; r" Y& F( |; \-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.+ C n" }. O4 l
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and3 u) t. c5 z: m$ x
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
0 G5 \6 c' z }5 }facilities’ maintenance, etc.
$ e0 l6 i# K5 N2 M& B1 u: O7 T-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic $ A) ?; k0 x$ C3 Y9 @
clients’ files etc. 9 \% I# m& `9 u
Statement of Qualifications

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, 1 n- Z) n0 G5 t+ @- b" f4 t
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
$ g0 ~+ |3 p; T+ f- O, X' S6 Cof education, training and /or experience. 0 l+ S! k; P* x# y% i
Knowledge/Technical competencies:- `; T4 Z8 |/ U; j; w* z
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system. r J' [( d ^- I
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word% d7 A) M* s9 O- Z4 r5 t
and Excel.
5 H3 y! ?, _" ~! e-Experience using and updating an information database.
