You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer% A. Z+ [3 c. e( i
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
. r" x) J1 f7 i* v6 f0 m6 Ecentre.4 Q7 S, A; Q3 |8 l. J: p
These responsibilities include:. z6 M- T! D ~; N R
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
1 q$ M, S7 q0 v; ?* G1 P-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
) J* A8 p2 W- l) R. q# o) ~# x-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
1 S; n5 u/ [, n" [renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to 2 O2 |: G* k8 s8 e6 I8 }
facilities’ maintenance, etc.
8 q2 Z0 V2 ~9 D0 N-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic ' X: u& o- K+ ?9 A: G8 X9 X( }

Statement of Qualifications

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
6 p6 O( Q( Y. \9 y+ B `5 Z* i) neducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
6 {; o8 T3 Q3 r$ S( p' t1 W5 e9 y5 uof education, training and /or experience.
; R( b$ K; Q% ?) W8 J; H; aKnowledge/Technical competencies:
3 r; E! b7 V L v-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
3 I( h$ w }- H; s6 |1 t-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
. Z9 e4 |* ]. P( g8 X8 [1 L; `and Excel. 5 }: p ^7 i) l) Y
-Experience using and updating an information database.

Assets:
/ X9 m% S) c' y& i( t, ~7 \3 u-Experience in using MS Access.

-Experience in one of the Statistics software: SAS, SPSS or STATA, w0 N3 Z3 o5 d- J
