weekend hours.7 v7 v2 D. a/ G9 h
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
6 X3 {& I" Z. @' M6 E3 hlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
8 Q1 L# c( B/ \centre.
- e% O8 P- c: A) q3 |1 QThese responsibilities include: h! W5 R+ X5 ]
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.9 G1 D. |4 U) G) H
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.2 o8 u: L( ~6 V* M: x
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and9 @5 E. J' h* C5 v% J, ~+ D" c) y' a( H
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to - @$ x0 |* A9 b& p" c& l% [4 g
facilities’ maintenance, etc.
% ~2 b; c0 t" A; @% Y$ J-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic ; v2 z2 D) k" u8 F* `
clients’ files etc.

! O" \8 f* X, ^8 cEducation:
2 Y( q7 L+ a* T-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, : b- L5 L& I" h9 P4 W Q, ]
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
7 ^: M8 p/ l+ A6 aof education, training and /or experience. 6 B/ K2 q d0 Y/ \% O: B5 Y5 @
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
7 _% d. ]: I' f" c: H! o8 F0 s-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
: n1 y. R/ I7 g-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word9 a9 Y0 G( S+ y4 N0 C$ p
and Excel.
$ d. ]; W9 [' {2 m/ a+ M! H-Experience using and updating an information database. # a% P7 M+ u, [/ n. L7 p

Assets:

-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.
