The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.: c2 n) A; L; A* Y; R( f

9 I8 i: s/ R8 y% R; j1 i5 F% G9 N; A
Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
4 Q! p4 u& A8 P6 Y* U! M/ R7 A& ~Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials6 u5 W0 u! J/ ]+ k* C# F
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material
: k2 R& l0 g0 T% M+ h5 D$ yMust be able to work safely at all times
( W2 T" T r( x- @Be able to effectively perform tasks independently1 B- A- E d i6 `0 G
Performs routine housekeeping.
! c: M' U1 d3 \2 p1 pObserves and reports any safety issues

7 z' ~# t+ V8 i7 g; I- o5 _+ VKnowledge of non-ferrous processing

Well-articulated and assertive
) @5 r/ l1 ^' u% eAbility to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization9 |5 E5 t, j; C
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos/ \: L; E" O u* M
