The University of Alberta - Department of Chemistry is currently
recruiting for the position of Laboratory Technician Assistant - Job No.
4 C8 s, `) ~9 g  ~9195.  

Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

2 j6 u: z9 S' {Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
7 F. M: j% k2 g1 ^7 f9 htechnicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
include carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
  Y9 j# K5 W4 X) ?, scompounds by chromatography.
5 e+ W9 T* M5 G$ l! @; h
Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
: i! b  v3 s" {) R& B7 B6 IChemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
separations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
- L( c  t6 g5 |. w+ O& @4 x' Dof a team essential.
5 G9 }) F& h- ]3 bThis position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
: X% }1 I- y- r, Z4 L" d& b5 dand chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
