11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
9 k4 d; X. d1 k$ a  tcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
& {- T. P; T/ v7 L5 k0 Pcustomer service and room cleanliness.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
+ W3 z; }+ g5 A( x/ R( p1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
, K; d; ?# e) R% d8 r
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
7 I! t. F7 I9 }: iaccordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
, E6 J  q$ v# K5 D  I- R
. U$ D5 {1 V  T7 R* r4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

" [1 S' f$ z) u' i7 w  N8 U5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
0 j+ d/ E' h4 O! Gaction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
, l" N! }% ^+ z$ e+ R: }3 iintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
# o+ a/ e* g! N. I6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
, ^2 T0 k0 C0 q0 fAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
* \% c4 V, l$ z. [
" }; g4 Z% G% o, h2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
& N+ v, R/ f: i9 e7 c3 j9 Aoperation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
) Y5 i* e9 D5 c8 \2 f) F- }" X- t, Epolicy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
/ X: s: V/ i4 H+ g# ~+ Fcard transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
/ b# j1 u9 E# B& c- p. Tprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Union Position

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
