JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
& r% J2 Z1 r$ a6 K. hcustomer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
  U; K$ ?+ l- A1 m; norders.
6 Q8 t( z1 }: O- |% d
  d% l6 ^( I$ }. |( O2 k* p2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
& N" T: x: {0 u6 {) P9 h; s; }high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

+ g' k. r6 r$ |$ t9 j3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
: i2 h3 l; ?/ S( |9 s: v& P
; k& o- x, _1 _  E/ a" M$ Q4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
/ b# j  V% i; Q4 l! n; |2 Cand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
) {/ p8 }! L% h' }. v( Zintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

% ]3 R% b% q+ X, J3 j' E0 W7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
) O# R& g  [+ e' r8 p/ I$ Q8 t2 SManager.


' X; {. w* v' I9 PQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
1 n7 C. v: C; ~3 w
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

- c8 K+ ~- }$ b0 \2 r+ i  i4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
5 N$ }2 O' A/ x- xprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
